     Howard Edwin Prinz Howard Edwin Prinz, age 80, of Coupland, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014. Howard was a lifelong resident of the Elgin/Type area. He was born the ninth child of Ernest and Minnie Kiphen Prinz. After growing up in the farming community of Type, Howard went into the military where he honorably served with the United States Army. He married Jo Ann Quant and settled in Elgin. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Walter and wife, Katharyne, Alfred "Buddy", Clarence and wife, Gladys, and Alton Prinz; sisters, Erna Prinz Henze and husband Arthur, Ella Prinz Robertson Kreidel and husbands, J.O. and Edgar, Alvina Prinz, and Katie Prinz Vaughan and husband Bill. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jo Ann; one sister, Frances Prinz Burgdorf and husband Willard of Giddings; grandson, Shane Capps of Austin; great-grand children, Christian and Mikayla; great nephew Kyle Prinz and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Howard worked for many years in the nut and bolt industry as a salesman. He volunteered for a number of years with the Elgin Volunteer Fire Department. In his spare time he was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. He loved sharing his vegetables with all of his friends. Telling great fish stories at Type Store and partaking in an occasional cold beer with friends was also a ritual he enjoyed. Interment will follow at the Yegua Creek Cemetery with Christian Capps, Doug Prinz, Kyle Prinz, Edgar Prinz, Jr., Phil Hilbig and Dennis Krieg serving as pall bearers and Wesley Burgdorf serving as Honorary pall bearer.1 He was buried at Type Cemetery, Williamson Co., Texas.2,1 He was born on April 2, 1934.2 He married JoAnn Gayhart, daughter of Harry Leroy Gayhart and Helen Margaret Mabel Zental, on January 12, 1962.3,2 Howard Edwin Prinz died on July 21, 2014 at Texas at age 80.1,2

Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Bluefield, Va. on March 22, 1994.4
