Bertha is survived by her stepdaughters, Joanne (Garry) Manno, Debra (Mike) Gilliam, Billie (Steve) Dyal, Cindy (Ken) Hamman; special daughter, Sherry (Gary) Stebbins; siblings, Gunner and Kaj in Canada; siblings Inger, Tove, Reimer, Benny, Lau, Grethe, and Karen in Denmark; aunt, Lee Petersen of Toledo; cousin, Jack Petersen of Toledo; cousin, Harry Petersen of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and numerous family members throughout Denmark and Canada. Bertha was a faithful employee of Champion Spark Plug in Toledo for 28 years, until she retired in June of 1991. She was a member of the Champion Quarter Century and Retiree Club, in which she served multiple terms as President. She loved to entertain, offering an abundance of her delicious Danish cooking to all fortunate enough to sit at her table. She regularly hosted card games with her girlfriends and loved spending time with her family and many friends. on October 31, 2013.³
