Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018, at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Caroline Amber Buck was born on May 12, 1936, in Marshalltown, Iowa; she was the daughter of Ralph and Amelia (Bentley) Buck. Caroline attended school in the Rhodes school district graduating with the class of 1953. Caroline had lived in Rhodes and Marshalltown and had worked at Grandview in the dietary department as a supervisor for 30 years. She was a member of the Rhodes United Methodist Church and the Red Hat Ladies. In her younger years she would always have a huge garden and would can and freeze her vegetables and later on she started raising flowers. Her home was beautiful with all kinds of hobbies and crafts she was working on. Caroline had lots of special moments in her life; she loved attending the grandkids many events. She was blessed to get to see all of her grandchildren born. Caroline has dealt with lots of trials in her life, which made her the strongest, loving woman whom we called MOM. Left to cherish Caroline’s memory are her children: Craig (Melanie) Bear, of Albion, Cheryl (Jeff) Rankin, of Marshalltown, Tim (Lynne) Bear, of Melbourne, and Trudy Fricke, of Marshalltown. She is also survived by grandchildren: Taylor (Kim) Bear, Adam (Jackie) Bear, Sonia (Israel) Hernandez, Sara (Todd) McAnulty, Mike (Brooke) Bear, Hallie Bear, Amber (Kyle) Shanahan-Fricke and Sierra Fricke and 13 great-grandchildren. In death Caroline rejoins her parents, Ralph and Amelia Buck; brothers, Warren and Paul; daughter-in-law Mary Bear; and husbands George Franklin Bear and Harlan Wignall. on March 30, 2018.4

"Angie" Wignall was born on October 11, 1968.5 She died on March 31, 2016 at Montezuma, Poweshiek Co., Iowa, at age 47.3 She Angie (Wignall) Ford, 47, of Montezuma, decided enough of this battling cancer stuff and left for a reunion party with those who have gone on before. She departed this life at her home on the evening of Thursday, March 31st, with her family at her side. Left to cherish her memory are her sons- Tommy (Amanda) Ford of Toledo and Trae Ford of Toledo; her faithful companion Jack Forehand of Montezuma; 10 siblings, as well as her lifelong best friend, Mary Newburg and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Angie is also remembered by her step-mother Caroline Wignall of Marshalltown. In death, she rejoins her mother, her father, her dad Roger Stonewall who raised her after his marriage to Janice, brother’s in-law Danny Clement and David Vavra, niece Chrissy Yanda and other family members who rejoice in her arrival. on April 3, 2016.3

Wig loved the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Dallas Cowboys and NASCAR. When younger, he drove stock cars around the state of Iowa. Wig loved to dance, played catcher for over 30 years, and always had a joke or story to make you laugh. He never knew a stranger. In recent years, he could be found on his golf cart at ball games, festivals in surrounding towns and just visiting with the locals. Those left to cherish Wig's memory are Linda, his loving wife of 30 ½ years, two sons- Randy Wignall and Robby (Cindy) Wignall; two daughters- Vicki Wignall and Shelli Sosa; his sister Norma (Merlin)Klaas; six sisters-in-law- Caroline Wignall, Arlene Jubeck, Judy Briney, Barb Jubeck, Connie (Chuck) Kroeger and Pat (Jeff) O'Toole; three brothers-in-law- Charlie Jubeck, Gary (Linda) Jubeck and Bill (Karen) Jubeck,12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and his partner in crime, LeRoy Northway. In death, Wig now rejoins his parents, Linda's parents Bill and Rita Jubeck, his 20 year companion Hershey, sister and brother-in-law Juanita and Marvin Gibbs, brother Harlan Wignall, brother-in-law Ivan Briney and best friend, Lavern Walker. Leroy Northway, Bob Gibbs, Lando Holmes, Bob Hooper, Jim Shuey, Gary Wignall, David Klaas, Paul Clawson, and Mick Bailey served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Wig's grandchildren and great-grandchildren. on June 27, 2014.2

She was a member of the St Paul Lutheran Church in State Center, the Rhodes Historical Society, where she helped with the centennial work and book, the Rhodes Alumni Association, and the Marshalltown Bowler's Hall of Fame. Juanita enjoyed sports - bowling, softball, basketball and was an avid genealogist and supporter of the Rhodes community. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy (John) Mercer of Rhodes and Robert (Joy) Gibbs of Chariton; grandchildren, Tina (David) Ecklor of State Center; Michelle (Jason) Helton of Marshalltown; John Michael Mercer of Rhodes; Robert Russell "Rusty" Gibbs at Iowa State University; Raymond Grant Gibbs of Chariton and foster grandchildren, Erica Weeces of State Center, six great grandchildren' her brothers and sisters, Norma (Merlin) Klaas of State Center; Harlan (Caroline) Wignall of Marshalltown and Robert (Linda) Wignall of Rhodes. In death she rejoins her husband Marvin who passed away in 1993, and her parents. on February 20, 2003.4

He received his education in Rhodes and State Center. He graduated from Rhodes High School in 1946. He served in the U.S. Army from November 1950 until August 1952. He married Juanita D Wignall on March 5, 1951. They resided in Rhodes until moving in 1954 to the family farm where he was born and raised. He worked as a farmer and was a carpenter for 30 years at Marshall Lumber Company in Marshalltown. He was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church, Rhodes American Legion Post #456 in which he served as past commander and recently as adjutant, Rhodes Volunteer Fire Department and was active in the Rhodes Ball Association. Survivors include his wife Juanita; a daughter Nancy (Mrs John) Mercer of Rhodes and a son, Robert Gibbs of Colfax; five grandchildren; two foster grandchildren; a brother, Eugene Gibbs, Melbourne; and a sister, Nellie (Mrs Kenneth) Johnson, Marshalltown. Robert Norris Dudding, 88, of Buchanan, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 17, 2018 joining his sons, Norris and Glen. He would have been 89 on August 29th. Robert was a Korean War Veteran and worked for Boxley Quarry in Blue Ridge for 35 years. Robert was quite a baseball player in his younger years, playing RF with the Blue Ridge team which included Bob Humphreys, a World Series pitcher. He was the son of the late Raymond and Janie Dudding. In addition to his sons, he was also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Raymond E. Dudding, Jr., Jack Dudding, Elva Looney, Elsie Miller, and two infant brothers. Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Vera Martin Dudding; a son, Ronald Dudding; a daughter, Diana Harlow (Jeff); brother, Pete Dudding; sisters, Kathleen Gray, Judy Johnson, Eunice Barnes, Faye Kingery and Ruth Dillon; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thanks to the V. A. Hospital Palliative Care, Nancy Reed, and Carilion Hospice for the care given to Robert. Dudding, age 96, formerly of Troutville, Virginia, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, where she was living with her daughter Diane. Vera was married to Robert Dudding, and they had four children. Norris and Glen are both deceased. Diane and Ronald are living in Buchanan and Troutville. Vera's parents were Cline and Ruth Martin. She had two sisters named Naomi and Joanne, and a brother Bill. Vera was a lifetime member of Glade Creek Lutheran Church in Blue Ridge. She was an amazing woman who loved her family and friends and treated everyone she met with kindness and love. Vera had some wonderful years with her grandchildren, Chris, Jason, Ronald, and Chance Dudding, Elijah and Sarah Harlow, and step-grandchildren Frankie and Crissy Helms. Vera's last five years were spent enjoying a new baby in the family, Scarlet. She had such a wonderful time with her, as she did with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Joan and Mark Saunders for the time and care they gave to our mother and family; Linda Harlow for her love and care; Rev. John McCandlish; Hannah with hospice care; and the Dudding sisters. Norris Wayne "Zeke" Dudding was buried at Glade Creek Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Botetourt Co., Virginia.1,5 His Social Security Number was 229-80-8269.9 He was born on January 2, 1952 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2,4,5,9 He married Debra Lou Hammersley on October 25, 1976 at Roanoke, Virginia.2 Norris Wayne "Zeke" Dudding and Debra Lou Hammersley were divorced on July 31, 1980 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.10 Norris Wayne "Zeke" Dudding died on October 6, 2011 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 59.1,3,5,9 He Norris Wayne (Zeke) Dudding, 59, of Troutville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 6, 2011. He was born on January 2, 1952 and graduated from Lord Botetourt High School. Zeke loved to rabbit hunt, cut wood, loved the outdoors and worked for Dalton Tree Service most of his life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cline and Ruth Martin and Raymond and Janie Dudding. Left to cherish his memories are his parents, Robert and Vera Dudding; two sons, Christopher and Jason Dudding; three grandchildren, Jade, Haden, and Damien; two brothers, Ronald and Glenn Dudding; sister, Diane Harlow and husband, Jeff; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins; and special friends, Dean and Kathy Hagerman. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oakeys East Chapel with the Rev. Judy Tavela officiating. Interment will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. on October 9, 2011.1

Glenn Allen Dudding was buried at Glade Creek Cemetery, Blue Ridge, Botetourt Co., Virginia.2,4 He was born on July 12, 1963 at Roanoke, Virginia.7,4 He died on March 15, 2014 at Botetourt Co., Virginia, at age 50.2,3,4 He On Saturday, the 15th of March, 2014, Glenn Allen Dudding of Troutville, went home to join his brother, Norris, and grandparents, Cline and Ruth Martin, and Raymond and Janie Dudding, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Glenn worked for Blue Ridge Sanitation Dept. for 30 years before having to retire because of his illness. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Vera Dudding; a brother, Ronald; a sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Jeff Harlow; a very special friend, Tammy; and many nephews; nieces; aunts; uncles; and many special friends who will miss him. Glenn was an outdoors man, gardener, and hunter. Thanks to Dr. Daniel Temeles, Dr. Alan Brijbassie and Amedisys Hospice Care for the care given to Glenn. Interment will follow in Glade Creek Cemetery. on March 16, 2014.2
