She was born March 31, 1895 at Bland, Va., the daughter of the late Maxwell and Nannie Collins Hill. Mrs. Canaday attended Crab Orchard Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Thara, May 25, 1966. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence (Helen) Moore, New Castle, Del., Mrs T. A. (Elizabeth) Taylor, Beckley, and and Mrs. Maxie (Frances) Dwornick, MacArthur; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Richardson, Bluefield, Va., and Mrs. Margaret Burton, Morgantown; nine grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren. The body is at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements. on June 17, 1971.³
