Hulings, 87, of Sumner passed away on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Schnepp Health Care Center. A memorial service for Claude will be held on Sunday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at M-46 Tabernacle in Riverdale. Claude was a veteran of WWII and a lifetime member of the Oddfellows. He was the owner of Hulings' Hobby Shop in Alma for 52 years until his youngest son, Ed, took over in 2008. Claude was a pillar in the community of Alma and will be greatly missed. Surviving Claude are his wife of 42 years, Joyce Hulings; three children, Phil (Darlene) of Colorado, Bill (Cheryl) of Six Lakes and Ed (Ronna) of Vestaburg; two brothers, Gerald (Barbara) O'Bryant and Ronald (Mary Jo) O'Bryant, all of St. Louis; seven stepchildren; six grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren. The family is being served by the Dewey Funeral Home of Alma. on January 3, 2010.7

She was a member of the Oil City TOPS. Mrs. Cubbison loved playing guitar and entertaining around the area. She was known for her hospitality to friends and neighbors. She enjoyed gathering with her family. Her favorite time of the year was celebrating Christmas with her family. She was married July 18, 1948, in the Breedtown Baptist Church to Clyde A. "Cubby" Cubbison, who preceded her in death Jan. 14, 2005. Surviving are her stepfather, Frank Brink of Titusville; five daughters, Phyllis Warham and husband, Fred, of Titusville, Ginger Keister and husband, Lindy, of Pine City, Barbara Snyder and husband, Richard, of McClure, Martha Turner of Titusville and Sue Sterling and husband, Kevin, of Titusville; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-granddaughter. She also is survived by a sister, Vondella Brown of Vancouver, Wash; two half sisters, Lynne Wescoat and husband, Tom, of Titusville and Robin Gold of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael W. Snyder. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm. Monday in the Titusville Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Timothy Maybray, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Jerusalem Corners Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the Titusville Hospital Foundation or to the Venango County Visiting Nurses Association.

Snyder, 30, of Greensburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2004. He was born Sept. 17, 1974, in Oil City, the son of Richard and Barbara (Cubbison) Snyder, of Delmont. Mike had served in the U.S. Army, in the 82nd Airborne Division, and was a member of the Slickville American Legion Post. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Clarence Snyder. Surviving are his wife, Dana (Six) Snyder; and his son, Michael Jarrett Snyder. Also surviving are his sisters, Christie (Kevin) Wice, of Clarence, and Holly (Russell) Wallander, of Pleasant Gap; his maternal grandparents, Clyde and Norma Cubbison, of Oil City; paternal grandmother, Harriet Snyder, of Delmont; and a number of nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at the Vaia Funeral Home Inc., 463 Athena Drive, Delmont, Monday from 12 to 2 p.m., at which time Michael's service will be held in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, with full military honors accorded by Post 981. Family requests donations be made to the Michael Jarrett Snyder College Fund, c/o First Commonwealth Bank, 38 Greensburg St., Delmont, PA 15626. on November 15, 2004.2

     Joyce Marie Kerr was buried at Rynd Farm Cemetery, Rouseville, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.1,2 She was born on October 31, 1934 at Oil City, Venango Co., Pennsylvania.1,2 As of July 3, 1964,her married name was Markley.2 She married George Edward Markley on July 3, 1964.1,2 Joyce Marie Kerr died on April 13, 1965 at Erie, Erie Co., Pennsylvania, at age 30.1,2 She Mrs. Joyce Marie Markley, 30, of 220 Cherry Run Road, Rouseville, wife of George Markley, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Vincent Hospital, Erie, as a result of injuries incurred in an automobile accident Saturday night near Erie. Mrs. Markley suffered injuries to her head, hip, back and pelvis, according to hospital information. Mrs Markley was a passenger a car driven by her husband, George, when their car reportedly was forced off Route 8, 13 miles south of Erie. The Markley car skidded 200 feet on its roof after turning over. According to Lawrence Park State Police, Mr. Markley was traveling north on Route 8 at the time of the mishap. The accident happened at 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Markley, who suffered lacerations of the right cheek and abrasions of the right wrist, is reported in good condition at St. Vincent Hospital. Mrs. Markley was born in Oil City Oct. 31, 1934, a daughter of Andrew J. and Margaret Cubbison Kerr. She was graduated from East High School, Erie, in 1952. Mrs. Markley had been employed for the past three years in the accounting department of the Pennzoil Co. and had worked last Friday. She was married July 3, 1964, to George E. Markley who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kerr of Oil City RD 2; a brother, Phillip E. Kerr of San Jose, Calif; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Jean) Hedrick of Somerset, Ky., and Mrs. John (Patricia) Douglas of Erie. Also surviving are her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde A. Cubbison of Oil City; four nieces and three nephews. Friends will be received in ihe Osenider Funeral Home after 3 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the funeral home with J. B. Hinderer of Titusville officiating. Interment will be in the Rynd Farm Cemetery. on April 14, 1965.2
