     Pearl Evelyn Tate GOIN, Evelyn Pearl Tate, 95, of Richmond, Va., passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2017. Evelyn was born October 6, 1921 in Richmond. She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Goin, the love of her life. Evelyn is survived by her three children, Bobby Goin (Olivia), Betty Banton (Richard) and Brenda Morris (Dale); two sisters, Jean Ellis (Lonnie) and Vivian Lovette (Morris); three sisters-in-law, Wretha Tate, Marie Burton and Marie Tate; eight grandchildren, Jacqueline Broyles (Tom), Eric Goin (Tracey), Evanne Benson (Rick), Scott Bryant (Sandra), Mark Bryant (Theresa), Keith McDonald (Miriam, Jennifer Cave (Maury) and Matthew Morris (Jill); 14 great-grandchildren, Matt, Logan, Catie, and Michael Broyles, Christopher and Brandon Goin, Brian Benson, Maggie Bryant, Ashleigh and Lauren Bryant, Lunden McDonald, Gabi Cave and Evie and Clay Morris; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; her parents, John and Pearl Tate Sr; sisters, Elsie Tomlin and Lavern Tate; and brothers, John Jr., Wilton, Raymond and James Tate. Evelyn retired in 1982 from A.H. Robins Co., with over 30 years service. She enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening and traveling, but her real love was always her family. Evelyn would say thank you to Summerhill Retirement Community for 21 wonderful years. A special thank you is extended to all the Heartland caregivers for their loving support and assistance during Evelyn's three months of home Hospice Care.
