He was born November 20, 1938, the son of Elbert Grier Ennis and Mary Fern Veach Ennis. Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Spence) Ennis of Casey, IL; daughter, Lisa Parker and husband Doug of Kansas, IL; son, Lance Ennis and fiancé Melissa Waybrant of Peoria, IL; brothers, Dwight Ennis and wife Leeila of Westfield, IL and Morris Ennis and wife Mary Kay of Decatur, IL; sisters, Ruth Beasley of Oilfield, IL and friend Bill Williams of Casey, IL; Sharon Stephen and husband Warren of Oilfield, IL; Zoe Chittick and husband Garry of Clinton, IN and Martha Menser and husband Jerry of Westfield, IL; grandchildren, Hayden and Dakotah Parker and Bailey and Judson Ennis. As a child and young adult, Theron was an active member of the Willis Chapel Church of God. Later in life, health issues kept him from attending local church services, but he made sure to attend "church" at home while watching Jimmy Swaggart and Joel Osteen. He enjoyed many activities over the years, including basketball, baseball, softball, bowling, fishing, gardening, and mushroom hunting. He was especially proud of his garden each summer, spending many hours caring for his prized corn, tomatoes, and cabbage. He spent his time attending his children and grandchildren's various sporting events, as well as rooting on his favorite teams: the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Theron was a 1956 graduate of Westfield High School. He served his country in the US Army during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Theron was a retired Pipefitter of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union 157 in Terre Haute, IN. He played short stop for the Casey Truckers in the 1960’s and early 1970’s and was inducted into the Casey Softball Hall of Honor in 1995. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL with graveside military rites by the Casey VFW, the Hazel Dell American Legion and the Martinsville American Legion. on January 18, 2016.1

He then moved to Oilfield, IL in 2001 where he renovated the Oilfield Store building and operated a restaurant. His faith was strong and he attended churches wherever he lived and was currently a member of Salisbury Church, Hutton Campus. In these churches he held positions as trustee, song leader and sang in the choir. He loved spending time with family and especially his two grandchildren and he will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Markwell Funeral Home, Casey IL with Rev. Ray Finney officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Street Cemetery, Casey, IL. on December 28, 2010.2
