     Robert Gordon "Bob" McCoy was buried at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, Davidson Co., Tennessee.2,3 He was born on December 14, 1919 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.4,2,3 He married Virginia May Petty, daughter of James Howard Petty and Irma Louise Gray, on December 24, 1941 at Kayford, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1,2,5 Robert Gordon "Bob" McCoy died on May 22, 2005 at Tullahoma, Coffee Co., Tennessee, at age 85.4,2 He Funeral Services for Robert Gordon "Bob" McCoy, age 85 of Tullahoma, Tenn., will be conducted at 3 p.m., Thursday, May 26 at the Tullahoma Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Patterson Lyles officiating. Interment with full military honors will be conducted at 11am, Friday, May 27, at the Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Nashville. Visitation with the McCoy family will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Tullahoma Funeral Home. Mr. McCoy died Sunday evening, May 23, 2005, at the Life Care Center in Tullahoma. Mr. McCoy was born in Charleston, W.Va., the son of the late G.C. and Annie Mae Woodrum McCoy. He was a control systems engineer for Union Carbide in West Virginia and AEDC in Tullahoma where he retired. Mr. McCoy was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and was a member and ordained elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Tullahoma. He was also a member of the Middle Tennessee Amateur Radio Society, a life member of the American Legion in Tullahoma and the DAV in Manchester. Mr. McCoy was also a life member of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and the ISA. He is survived by his wife, Virginia P. McCoy of Tullahoma; one daughter, Jeanie Bergosh of Nolensville, Tenn; three grandchildren, Penny Kuethe, Robert Bergosh and Army Major Steve Bergosh; and four great grandchildren on May 25, 2005.3
