Maxwell of Edgewood, WA passed away peacefully with his beloved wife, Joyce by his side on March 1st, 2023, at the age of 92 years. David was born in Renton, WA. David was raised in Maple Valley where his family homesteaded property. He spoke fondly of growing up on the ranch and caring for the animals and family. David served in the United States Air Force. Following his service, David worked in the Puyallup School District. He worked as a teacher at Waller Road Elementary, Assistant Principal at East Junior High (Kalles) Principal at West Junior High (Aylen) and was then the Director of Student Services for the Puyallup School District. He was a gifted educator, mentor, and friend to many students and staff. He continued serving the district following his retirement. He and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States in their Airstream trailer. The family has fond memories of adventures shared with them. David attended Central Washington State College and graduated with his master's degree from Pacific Lutheran University. He was an avid UW Husky fan and was a season-ticket holder for many years. David loved Disneyland, Ice Cream, Pie, and Black Licorice. It was hard to find him without his Mickey Mouse watch. David was a treasure to his family. David is survived by his wife, Joyce Maxwell; his daughter, Colleen Lafferty (Eddie); his grandchildren; Alex Stemp, Victoria McElroy (Derik), Karli VanDuinen (John), and Kaila Seuberlich (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Grace and Sunny McElroy, James VanDuinen, and Kennedy Seuberlich; his sister, Katherine Maxwell; and nephew, Matthew Maxwell (Jesse). Preceding him in death are his son, John Maxwell; his sister, Lois; and many other cherished family members and friends. Family meant everything to David. He loved watching everyone succeed in the adventures of life, careers, and building homes filled with joy, laughter, and love. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, invite someone for dinner (with or without telling Joyce), or up for a new adventure. David was a true gentleman and gentle man. His heart welcomed everyone with whom he came in contact. David never spoke an unkind word. He always had thoughtful, kind, and wise words for anyone needing his guidance. David will be the measure for all we aspire to be as a friend, father, grandfather, and husband. He will be greatly missed.3 He was born on July 6, 1930 at Renton, King Co., Washington.3 He married Carole Jean Fuller, daughter of Alvin Emmett "Al" Fuller and Verna Mae Iddings, on March 15, 1952 at King Co., Washington.1 David Frank Maxwell and an unknown person were divorced in August, 1957 at Seattle, King Co., Washington.4 He died on March 1, 2023 at Edgewood, Pierce Co., Washington, at age 92.3

The driver of the car, Alvey Howard Townley, 29, of Roanoke, Va., was charged with manslaughter in connection with the death. He appeared before Magistrate W. H. Humphreys late Saturday evening and waived preliminary hearing. He gave bond of $500 to appear at the May term of Summers Circuit Court. The boy darted from between two parked cars directly into the path of the moving auto and was dragged 39 feet after being struck, according to investigating officers. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Margaret Crawford, of Hinton; his father, Kenneth Buckland, of Baltimore; and two half-sisters, Nancy Rogers and Lola Ann Crawford. Burial will be in the Davis Cemetery on Meadows Creek. on January 28, 1951.2

He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theatre. He was of the Baptist faith and lived for many years in Summers County. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Williams. Also preceded by five brothers, Arnold, Everette, Donald, Roger & Bernie Gill. Two sisters, Gertrude & Kathleen Buckland. Survivors include three sons, Mark Gill of Christiansburg, VA, David Gill of Lawrence, KS, & Jeff Gray of Richmond, VA. Three daughters, Jo Ann Richmond of Forest Hill, Donna Mize of Hinton & Ruth Elaine Gill of Lawrence, KS. Several grandchildren, nieces & nephews also survive. James was a quick-witted individual who possessed the remarkable ability to make everyone around him laugh and smile. His passion for history sparked engaging conversations and left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to engage in discussions with him. James Vernon Wellman will be remembered for his incredible musical talent and his love for history. He touched the lives of many through his music, bringing joy and inspiration to all who heard him play. His quick wit and infectious laughter will forever be cherished by his loved ones and friends. She was born on April 30, 1964, in South Bend, Indiana to Harold Blue and Ruth Elaine Gill Blue. Marcia was a 28-year resident of Sabine County and had previously resided Bertram, Texas. She was an active member of her community, known for her involvement in fundraisers and her dedication to her children's school activities. Marcia was a devoted stay-at-home wife and mother who cherished spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter. Marcia is survived by her husband of 28 years, David Worrell, Sr. of Yellowpine; her son, David Worrell, Jr. of Hemphill; her daughter, Meranda Brooks of Granbury; her sisters, Rebecca Elaine Stump and husband, Chad, and Dana Rose Kuhn, all of Elkhart, Indiana; and her granddaughter, Penelope Rose Brooks. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ruth Blue, and her brothers, J. R Perkins and Anthony Brian Perkins. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill Cemetery, with pallbearers including David Worrell, Jr., Michael Martin, Casey Brooks, Trent James, James Snow, and Shannon Cheney. Honorary pallbearers are Cheyenne Dudley, Norman Reeves, Jr., Joshua Worrell, and John Alford.3 She was born on April 30, 1964 at Urbana, Champaign Co., Ohio.1,3 As of February 15, 1997,her married name was Worrell.2 She married David Wayne Worrell Sr. on February 15, 1997 at San Augustine Co., Texas.2,3 Marcia Lynn Blue died on June 1, 2024 at Lufkin, Angelina Co., Texas, at age 60.3
