Buster was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Springfield. He was a farmer in the Chatham area. Served on the Board of Lick Elevator and was a member of Sangamon County Farm Bureau. Surviving are his wife, Joan; one son, Allan (Joan) Rakes of Chatham; two grandchildren, Natosha and Joshua; two great-grandchildren. Olivia Drabing and Koltyn Rakes; one sister, Betty Prill of Virden; one brother, Grover Rakes of Waverly; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3 till 5 pm, Sunday, November 7, 2010 at Bramley Funeral Home, Auburn. Services will be held at 10 am on Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Richard Ahlgrim officiating. Burial in East Cemetery, Waverly. Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospice or Gideon's International. on November 5, 2010.3

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. on December 27, 2013.2
