     Thelma Donnelly was buried at Jacksonville Burial Ground, Rt. 8, 0.25 miles south of Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ She was born on October 8, 1912 at Willis, Floyd Co., Virginia.^2,1 As of circa 1937,her married name was Lee.³ She married James Garfield Lee, son of Robert Edward Lee and Susan Adeline "Susen" Rakes, circa 1937.^1,3 Thelma Donnelly died on September 25, 2011 at Jonesborough, Washington Co., Tennessee, at age 98.^1,4,2 She Thelma Donnelly Lee, 98, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 25, 2011. A native of Willis, Va., she lived most of her life in Floyd, Va., and moved to Tennessee after retirement. Her occupations include serving as secretary of Floyd High School and being owner/operator of a beauty salon and a florist shop. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Garfield Lee; four brothers; and one sister. She is survived by a daughter, Carol Lee Hitchcock and husband, Charles, of Jonesborough; four grandchildren, Susanne Pemberton and husband, Jamie, of Lancing, Tenn., Stephanie Townsend and husband, Taylor, of Spruce Pine, N.C., Joanna Capps and husband, Chad, of Johnson City, and David Hitchcock, of Falls Church, Va; five grandchildren, Tristi Townsend, Tanner Townsend, Luke Capps, Jayden Pemberton, and Jordyn Pemberton; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, Tenn., on Friday, September 30, 2011, from 6 to 7 p.m. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Kim Goddard officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2011, at Jacksonville Cemetery in Floyd, Va., with the Rev. Rhonda Hobbs officiating. The family wishes to extend very special thanks to the dedicated staff of Caris Healthcare, especially to Angela Williams, Linda Byrd, and Jennifer Farner for their genuine expressions of love and care.      Levi Harman was born on October 19, 1862 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,2,3 He married Julie Victoria Lee, daughter of John W. "Johnie" Lee and Susan E. Livesay, on March 6, 1890 at Floyd Co., Virginia.² Levi Harman died on September 4, 1942 at age 79.¹

     Israel Green Rakes was buried at Lee Cemetery, Route 615 near the Patrick County line, Floyd Co., Virginia.² He was born on March 1, 1868 at Virginia.^1,2,4 He married Tulie Elizabeth Lee, daughter of John W. "Johnie" Lee and Susan E. Livesay, on May 9, 1889 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ Israel Green Rakes died on January 16, 1943 at age 74.²

     Alseba Beulah Munro was born on November 14, 1904 at East Orange, Essex Co., New Jersey.¹ As of January 9, 1926,her married name was Lee.¹ She married John Walter Lee, son of Robert Edward Lee and Susan Adeline "Susen" Rakes, on January 9, 1926 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri.¹ Alseba Beulah Munro died on February 17, 1957 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, at age 52.¹

     John Turner Rakes was buried at Appleton Township Cemetery, Minneola, Clark Co., Kansas.³ He was born on January 2, 1890 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^2,3 He married Ocie Ellen Lee, daughter of Robert Edward Lee and Susan Adeline "Susen" Rakes, on February 9, 1913 at Patrick Co., Virginia.^1,3 John Turner Rakes died on September 20, 1970 at Minneola, Clark Co., Kansas, at age 80.³

     Gordon Lee Rakes was buried at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1824 Oliver Avenue, Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas.³ He married Daylene Gonder.^2,4 Gordon Lee Rakes was born on December 8, 1915 at Virginia.^1,5 He died on June 11, 2007 at Alabama at age 91.^5,2 He Rakes, Gordon Lee, 91, retired Boeing Wichita precision machine work inspector, died Monday, June 11, 2007 in Alabama. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Daylene Gonder Rakes on March 31, 2005. Funeral Services : 11:00 a.m., Friday at Grace United Methodist Church. Survivors: children; Leah Delle Darmstetter of Wichita, Clifford E. Rakes of Greenville, TX, Nyman T. Rakes of Scottsdale, AZ and L. Joan Luper of Decatur, AL; brother, R. Emery Rakes of Portland, OR; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Memorial: Grace United Methodist Church, 944 South Topeka, Wichita, KS 67211. on June 14, 2007.²

     Robert Emery Rakes was born on March 8, 1918 at Kansas.^1,3

     Daylene Gonder was buried at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, 1824 Oliver Avenue, Wichita, Sedgwick Co., Kansas.³ Her married name was Rakes.¹ She married Gordon Lee Rakes, son of John Turner Rakes and Ocie Ellen Lee.^1,2 Daylene Gonder was born on June 11, 1918.⁴ She died on March 31, 2005 at age 86.^1,4,2 She Rakes, Daylene Gonder, 86, passed away to our Lord peacefully in her home on March 31, 2005. She was a homemaker and former Grace United Methodist Church secretary. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 5th at Grace United Methodist Church, 944 South Topeka. She is survived by her husband, Gordon Rakes of the home, and children: Leah Delle Darmstetter, Joan Luper, Clifford Rakes, Nyman Rakes; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Memorials with: Grace United Methodist Church, 944 South Topeka, 67211 and Progessive Home Health and Hospice, 3500 North Rock Road, 67226. on April 4, 2005.²

     Jene C. Darmstetter married Leah Delle Rakes, daughter of Gordon Lee Rakes and Daylene Gonder.^1,3 Jene C. Darmstetter died on June 25, 1935.²

     Nyman T. Rakes was born on April 18, 1945.³ He died on June 19, 2009 at Arizona at age 64.³
