In 1964 he moved to the Ormond Beach area from Virginia and retired after 20 years as a Butcher for Winn Dixie, mostly at the Winn Dixie in Bellaire Plaza. He also retired from Walmart in Ormond Beach after ten years and prior to that was employed for "White Acres" for ten years in Port Orange. Larry was a Veteran of the United States Army serving during Vietnam. He loved woodworking of which he was extremely talented. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sarah; Daughter, Laura (John) King Leventis of San Juan, Capistrano, CA; Son, John (Jameane) King of Ormond Beach, FL; Six Grandchildren and One Great-Grandchild. Burial will be held privately at Volusia Memorial Park.⁷ He was born on November 17, 1944 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,7 He married Sarah Unknown circa 1964.^6,7 Larry Willie King died on October 14, 2021 at Ormond Beach, Volusia Co., Florida, at age 76.⁷

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Lee Memory Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home of Sanford. Ms. Bausell is survived by a son, Marko Wilson of Salem, Va; four daughters, Lois Morgan of Mamers, Shenna Warren and Kathy Griggs, both of Sanford, and Linda Davis of Tennessee; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends after the service at graveside. on May 25, 2003.²
