He was born in Parsons, Kansas on January 22, 1941 to William Arthur and Esther Christina (Nelson) Lee and grew up in Chanute, Kansas. He graduated from high school and the community college in Chanute, Kansas. Dale graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Education from Kansas State College where he met his beloved wife, Phyllis (Osburn) Lee. Dale and Phyllis married in 1963 and both were high school teachers in Kansas. From their union they had three beautiful children and four grandchildren. Dale retired from BP Amoco and was a Friendswood Fire Department Volunteer. He enjoyed retirement with his children and grandchildren. He savored any opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, William Arthur Lee and Esther Christina (Nelson) Lee. He is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Lee of Pearland, Texas; daughter, Marjena Kay Kohnke and husband Ernest of Monroe, Connecticut; sons, Jason A. Lee and wife Nanette of Friendswood, Texas and Jeff Lee of Pearland, Texas; and four grandchildren, Ernie, Danielle, Lexi and Allison. The visitation will be held Sunday, September 18, 2005 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Jeter Memorial Funeral Home, 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546. The Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Friendswood United Methodist Church, 204 W. Edgewood Avenue, Friendswood, Texas 77546 with Reverend Chris Norton officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army, 1500 Austin, Houston, Texas 77002 or the Friendswood United Methodist Church Music Department. on September 18, 2005.1
