     Nancy C. Plymale was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 1521 South Carpenter Drive, Covington, Alleghany Co., Virginia.1 She Nancy C. Plymale Craft, of Burkeville, formerly of Covington, passed away on June 16 in Port Orange, FL after a long illness. She was born on September 28, 1939 in Covington to the late George H. and Trusby (Taylor) Plymale. Nancy previously worked for Halmode Apparel, Inc. and Aide’s Department Store. She is preceded in death by her husband, James R. “Bo” Craft, and a sister, Kay Francis Plymale. She is survived by her son, Stephen G. Craft, his wife, Demi Wen-ling Lin, and two grandchildren, William R. Craft and Brittney N. Craft, of Port Orange, two sisters Mary Sue Woodson, of Covington; Barbara Jean Paxton, of Denver, CO., and two brothers George Eugene Plymale, of Tucson, AZ; William “Danny” Plymale, of Lynchburg; and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday evening from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM at the Arritt Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery on Friday at 11:00 AM, family and friends may gather at Arritt Funeral Home prior to the service.1 Her married name was Craft.1 She married James Richard Craft, son of William Roscoe Craft Sr. and Ethel Mae Kittinger.1 Nancy C. Plymale was born on September 28, 1939 at Covington, Alleghany Co., Virginia.1 She died on June 16, 2014 at Port Orange, Volusia Co., Florida, at age 74.1

Fields went home to be with the Lord, 11 days before her 82nd birthday. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother of four, as well as being an accomplished artist. She was an avid gardener, and she greatly enjoyed her rose and vegetable gardens. Iva was born in Covington, the daughter of Withrow and Rodena Craft. She was employed by Eli Lilly and Elizabeth Arden, in Roanoke and Enfield, Connecticut, from 1962 until her retirement in 1992. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Fields, who passed away in 2001, and her former husband, Paul K. Robertson. Also preceding Mrs. Fields in death was her son, William Michael Robertson (2004); and a great-granddaughter, Rebecca Grace Holliday (October 20, 2001 to April 1, 2005). Mrs. Fields is survived by a son, Wayne Mottley and his wife, Pat; a daughter, Shirley Robertson Hawthorne and husband, John, of Bowie, Maryland; and her caregiver and loving daughter, Cathy Robertson Edwards; also, granddaughter, Christi Holliday and her husband, Bobby Holliday along with their children, Robbie, Ben, Hannah and John; step-great granddaughter, Briana; and her best friend, Corliss. She is also survived by her loyal and faithful canine companion, Brandy, who never left her side during her long illness. In addition to her agricultural and artistic accomplishments, Iva was an active participant in the Republican Party, both in Enfield, Connecticut, and in Roanoke. Throughout her life she gave generously of her time, assistance and encouragement to those in need. She will be greatly missed by her family and all those who knew her. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Oakey's North Chapel, with Pastor Brian Clingenpeel officiating. A reception to celebrate her life and art will be held immediately following the service at Oakey's North Chapel, www.oakeys.com. "I am the resurrection and the life.
