     Elsie Virginia Dudding was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.1 She was born on March 1, 1926 at Botetourt Co., Virginia.5 As of December 23, 1944,her married name was Miller.3 She married Andrew Leonard "Jimmy" Miller Jr. on December 23, 1944 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2,3 Elsie Virginia Dudding died on September 1, 2014 at Virginia at age 88.1 She Elsie Virginia Miller, 88, of Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 1, 2014. She was born in Botetourt County, a daughter of the late Raymond and Janie Dudding and had been a West Salem resident for most of her life. She spent many years working in the dental field and subsequently retired as a nurse's aide from Catawba Hospital following over 17 years of service. Elsie was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan, attending many games in years past, and never missing one broadcast on the radio. She was a long time member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church and loved cats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. "Jimmy" Miller who died in 2005; two brothers, Junior and Jack Dudding; and a sister, Elva "Pucky" Looney. She is survived by her son, Bobby Miller and his wife, Linda; two grandchildren, Chris Miller and Andy Miller; five great-grandchildren, Bryce, Madelene, Nathan, Ramsey and Emma Miller; five sisters, Kathleen Gray, Judy Johnson and husband, Eddie, Eunice Barnes and husband, Jay, Fay Kingery and husband, Wayne, and Ruth Dillon and husband, Jerry; two brothers, Robert Dudding and wife, Vera, and Pete Dudding; brother-in-law, Frank Washbush; a sister-in-law, Lorraine "Sis" Helsher; and her friends at Richfield, especially David Smith; and her special friend, J.S.Meador. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2014, at the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Pastor Ben Lockhart Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014,at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Roanoke Valley SPCA, 1340 Baldwin Ave., NE, Roanoke, VA 24012. on September 3, 2014.1

     Andrew Leonard "Jimmy" Miller Jr. was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road NW, Roanoke, Virginia.2 He was born on January 6, 1926 at Sussex Co., New Jersey.4,3 He married Elsie Virginia Dudding, daughter of Raymond Earl Dudding and Lydia Janie Dooley, on December 23, 1944 at Roanoke, Virginia.1,2,3 Andrew Leonard "Jimmy" Miller Jr. died on April 13, 2005 at Virginia at age 79.4,2 He Andrew Leonard (Jim) Miller, Jr., 79, of Salem, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005. He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, A.L. "Pat", Sr. and Ida Miller; and a sister, Mary Ferrell. Surviving is his beloved wife of 60 years, Elsie Dudding Miller; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Linda Miller, Troutville; grandsons, Chris and wife, Sara, Andy and wife, Kristy; sisters and brother-in-law, Grethel and Frank Washbush, Lorraine "Sis" Helsher; brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Nellie Miller; and five great-grandchildren, Max, Nathan, Maddie, Bryce and Ramsey. Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2005 at Lotz Salem Chapel with the Rev. Bill McMahon officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem. on April 16, 2005.2

     Kathleen Alice Dudding Kathleen Dudding Gray, 87, of Elliston passed away on January 26, 2021. Kathleen was born on January 14, 1934 to Raymond Dudding and Lydia Dudding, both deceased. She was the wife of the late Walter Irvin Gray. Kathleen is survived by two sons, Greg Gray and wife Sandy and Dennis Gray and wife Lisa; her daughter, Patricia Gray; daughter in law, Vicki Sue Wilkerson; grandchildren, Josh Gray, Justin Gray and wife Denise, Jared Gray, William Gray and wife Allison, John Martell and wife Jenifer, and Angie Martell; great grandchildren, Aiden Gray, Olivia Gray, James Gray, Ophelia Gray, and Ashley Gray; three sisters, Judy Johnson and husband Eddie, Eunice Barnes and husband JC, and Ruth Dillion and husband Jerry; brother in law Wayne Kingery; sister in law, Vera Dudding; special friend, Mary Jane Melton; loving fur companion, Gilda; and many nieces and nephews.
