Jack Leroy Oard Jack Oard, 76, of Attica (previously of Pontiac) passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at Lapeer Regional Medical Center. Jack Leroy Oard was born on August 30, 1931 in Parke Co. Indiana. He was a son of Roy O. and Eva (Phelps) Oard. He grew up in the Pontiac area. He graduated from Pontiac Northern High School, Class of 1949. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Barbara Mae Smith (McLean) on October 7, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jack was a member of Imlay City Fraternal Order of Eagles. He had been employed at Pontiac Motors and worked in the sheet metal fabrication department. Jack retired in 1988 after 36 years. Jack is survived by his wife, Barbara of Attica; son, Timothy (Jennifer) Oard of Clarkston; 2 step-sons, Roger (Julie) McLean of Lapeer and Gary (Alice) McLean of Alaska; 2 step-daughters, Carol Lee of California and Theresa (Otto Lewis) of Alaska; sister, Betty Becker of Gingelville, Michigan; 2 grandchildren, Timothy (Heather) Oard and Austin Oard; 11 step-grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kirsten and Carter. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Katheen McLean. Funeral Services were officiated by the Imlay City Eagles & the Imlay City American Legion, Sunday, May 18, 2008 with a Veteran’s Salute at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Imlay City.2 He was born on August 30, 1931 at Parke Co., Indiana.3,2 He married Barbara Mae Smith on October 7, 1989 at Las Vegas, Clark Co., Nevada.2 Jack Leroy Oard died on May 15, 2008 at Lapeer, Lapeer Co., Michigan, at age 76.3,2
