Scott on October 31, 1960.⁴ Leota Smith died on March 12, 2009 at Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana, at age 78.⁴ She Leota Scott, 78, Kokomo, died at 3:52 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Howard Regional Health System. She was born April 25, 1930 in Greentown, the daughter of Williams Earnest and Deborah (Stevens) Smith. On Oct. 31, 1960 she married William Scott, who preceded her in death on March 25, 1999. She worked in several factories and cafes over a 60-year period, including, Delco Electronics, Cuneo Press, Essex Wire and Reeds Metal Craft. She and her husband owned and operated the Super 98 Station at Oakford and she owned her own antique store. She is survived by her son William Trine and his wife, Janet, Kokomo; daughter, Debbie Combs, Flora; grandchildren Matt and Amanda Racey, Jim and Chris Trine and Billy Trine, all of Kokomo; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Novice Louise Morehead and her husband, Junior, Kokomo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one granddaughter, Pam Corn; one sister; and six brothers. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., with Pastor Steve Sherwood officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until service time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with final expenses. on March 12, 2009.⁴

     Raymond F. Landis was buried at Davis Cemetery, Burnettsville, Cass Co., Indiana.¹ He was born on May 17, 1908 at Miami Co., Indiana.¹ He married Nancy Anna Smith, daughter of William Earnest Smith and Deborah Louella "Debbie" Stephens, on July 22, 1931.¹ Raymond F. "Mickey" Lathrope died on June 3, 1982 at age 64.¹
