She then also was with the troops in the liberation of France. Mrs. Iagulli was preceded in death by her husband, Raffaele P. Iagulli Sr., and her parents, James F. Taylor and Louise King Taylor Cregar. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Raffaele P. and Juliana Harding Iagulli Jr., James Taylor and Anita Iagulli; her grandson, James Taylor Iagulli Jr; her sister, Lucille Howell; and two of her many friends, Patricia and Jessica Davis. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1999, in Veterans Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Frank Earwood. Arrangements by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. on September 5, 1999.3

Iagulli was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and served as a tank NCO in the 601st Tank Destroyer Battalion in the Tunisian, Italian and Sicilian campaigns. He was in the Special Communications Division of the Signal Corps in the Korean and Vietnam wars. During his military career, he receive two Purple Hearts, three Bronze Service Stars and the Army Commendation Medal. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Nellie Taylor Iagulli; two sons, James Taylor Iagulli Sr. of Hayes and Raffaele Peter Iagulli Jr. of Hampton; one grandson, Spc. James Taylor Iagulli Jr. of Fort Wainwright, Alaska; and other relatives. A funeral service with full military honors will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home with interment to follow in Veterans Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may join the family after the funeral at the Salt Ponds Yacht Club, 2 Ivory Gull Crescent off First Street in Buckroe Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to your local rescue squad. Arrangements by R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home. on February 16, 1997.3

Ellis retired as a comptroller for the Opportunities Industrial Center, Charleston. He was a member of Christ Church United Methodist, Charleston. Ellis was born in Crumpler and was a son of the late Myrtle Ellen and Ellis Bailey Sizemore Sr. He was raised in Coopers and came to Charleston in 1954. He was a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran and finished his service as a pilot. Ellis was one of the first men to ever fly into the eye of a hurricane. After the war, he attended the teachers college at Arizona State University and later graduated from Morris Harvey College, now the University of Charleston, where he received a business degree in accounting. Ellis started his career working for the state of West Virginia as the director of the Statistical Division of Workers Compensation, where he met his future wife. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Don, Jack and Bill; and sisters, Elizabeth Jewell, Louise Barnes and Claire Semonco. He is survived by his wife, Etta Mae Singleton Shai Sizemore; children, Linda (David) Edwards of Charleston, John (Vicky) Sizemore of Charleston, Robert (Susie) Sizemore of Fraziers Bottom and Deborah Sizemore of Charleston; sisters, Mary Jane Jones of Richmond, Va., Dorothy Booth of Richmond, Va., and Evelyn Thompson of Norfolk, Va; brothers, Charles (Juanita) Sizemore of Bluefield and Clarence and Roy Sizemore, both of Richmond, Va; sister-in-law, Betty Sizemore of Bluefield; and six grandchildren, Jonathan, Jennifer and Jaclyn Edwards and Chelsey, Dominic and Dakota Sizemore. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 25, at Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston, with Pastor David Moutz officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Charleston. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Barlow-Bonsall Funeral Home, Charleston, has been entrusted with the arrangements. on February 25, 2011.5
