Merrill who preceded in death on August 4, 1993. Four sisters and two brothers also preceded in death; Carolyn Sanders, Mary Gerhart, Lois Miller, Alma Jean Battles, Vernon Sauer and Floyd Sauer. Mrs. Merrill retired in 1993 after 25 years of employment with Wheelhorse. Mrs. Merrill is survived by two daughters, Dixie Kertai Howell of Bremen and Donna Cormican (Keith) Roush of Lakeville; one son, Kenneth O. (Dawn Erdelyi) Merrill, Jr. of Bremen; eleven grandchildren, Emery Kertai, Wade (Tracy) Kertai, Brad (Danielle) Kertai, Shawn (Tracie) Kertai, Michelle Merrill, Eric Merrill, Glenn Cormican, Denny Cormican, Valarie (Eric) Smith, Keenan Roush and Kent Roush; 25 great grandchildren; six sisters, Alice Platz of Bremen, Joyce Gaines of Lakeville, Maxine Harter of Bremen, Catherine Bellew of Louisville, KY, Arlene Jacobs of Mishawaka and Jane Sauer of Kuwait; and two brothers, Robert Sauer and Dale Sauer, both of Lakeville. Mrs. Merrill loved the outdoors and nature. She enjoyed birds, flowers, and gardening. She was considerably active and a stong-willed person that tried to do everything herself even at 81 years old. She thought the world of all of her family, especially her great grandchildren. She will be missed. He was born on October 25, 1945 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Kenneth O. and Velma (Sauer) Merrill, Sr. On March 5, 2005 in Fish Lake, IN, he was united in marriage to Dawn M. Erdelyi-Merrill. Ken is survived by his wife, Dawn M. Merrill; daughter, Michelle Lynn Merrill of Lafayette, IN; son, Eric O. Merrill of Vinita, OK and two sisters, Donna Roush of Lakeville, IN and Dixie Howell of Bremen, IN. Ken was a lifelong area resident. He served his country honorably in the United States Army. Kenneth worked as a carpenter for Local #413 in South Bend for thirty-five years. He loved cutting wood, landscaping and Allis Chalmers tractors. He enjoyed birds and making bird houses. Ken and Dawn once owned a white tail deer as a pet. He knew many people and would help anybody that needed him. He was a hard worker and loved his pets. Ken and Jim McBride built the house that he lived in. Mr. Wright was a member of the Lakeville Conservation Club and American Legion Post 363. He was also an avid bird watcher and greatly enjoyed fishing. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. on February 26, 1998.4

Wright were united in marriage. Richard preceded her in death on February 24, 1998. Two sisters, Minnie Lou McIntosh and Elsie Hovarter, also preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her four children, Kevin (Vernita) Wright of Orville, CA, Michael (Joann) Wright of Bremen, Lynn (Lori) Wright of Lakeville, and Kathleen (James) Koopman of Lakeville; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and her sister, Dorothy Mae Dickson of Ft. Myers, FL. Mary retired in 2000 after 36 years of employment at RACO Steel. She also worked part-time for many years at the Bremen Café with her sister. Mary attended Lakeville High School. She had a heart of gold, never meeting a stranger. Mary loved her family and will be missed. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Southlawn Cemetery. The family would like to thank Comfort1 Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. She loved her husband of 47 years and before her husband retired they traveled to many places together: Germany, France, Switzerland, Austria, Australia, Hawaii and many more. She loved her children and treated her daughter-in-law and son-in-law as if they were her own. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she loved spoiling them and keeping up-to-date with the happenings in their lives. She supported their dreams and aspirations. She loved to shop and to spend time talking on the phone with friends and family. She had many friends who she treated as family, and she loved her special family friends, Beverly and Andy Hoffer of Warsaw, Indiana, and Betty and Dick Baney of Bourbon, Indiana. Surviving are her husband, William L Biller of Punta Gorda, FL; son, Stephen Lyle and his wife, Cindy (Dowdy) Biller, and their two children, Zachary William and Kristen Geneva, all of Eagle Lake, FL; daughter, Cheryl Lynn (Biller) Wells, and husband, John Mark Wells of Haines City, Florida; a brother, Wayne Myers, and his wife, Pam from Plymouth; and a stepbrother, Larry Myers. Verna had seven nieces, one nephew and several grandnieces and a grandnephew, two stepnieces and one step-nephew. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Glen T Myers; brothers, Lyle Pittman and Gary Pittman; and one stepsister, Dixie Myers. on July 24, 2007.2

Burial will follow in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. on June 20, 1998.4

     William Leroy Biller William L. Biller, Jul 26, 1936 – Mar 21, 2018. William “Bill” Biller passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning. Bill was born on July 26, 1936 to Guy and Evelyn Biller of Etna Green, IN. The family later settled in Bourbon where Bill still owned the family farm. Bill enjoyed the companionship of two women in his life. His wife Verna Pittman Biller of 47 years who passed in 2007. He also lost his partner of 9 years Gloria Yurkus who passed away in 2017. Bill is survived by his daughter Chery Biller and her partner Roger Collins, his son Stephen Biller and Stephen’s wife Cindy. Bill also has two grandchildren Zachary and Kristen. Bill graduated from Bourbon high school in 1954 and proudly served in the navy. He went on to a successful career in the corrugated packaging industry. During his long career Bill became a highly regarded professional and earned respect from customers, competitors and coworkers throughout the world. He retired to Florida and enjoyed his time with family and friends. His true love was music and entertaining, he never missed an opportunity to play and sing. Even though he lived a storied life he never forgot his farming roots and always was proud to say he was from Indiana.5 He was buried at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd, Port Charlotte, Charlotte Co., Florida.6 He was born on July 26, 1936 at Etna Green, Kosciusko Co., Indiana.5,4,3 He married Verna Kay Pittman, daughter of Lloyd Irvin Pittman and Elsie Luella Merrill, on May 20, 1960.1,2,7,5 William Leroy Biller died on March 21, 2018 at Florida at age 81.5
