Dickinson from May 11, 1947 until his death on January 6, 2007. Together they raised 2 children, John F. Dickinson II (Jean Ellen) from Jupiter, FL and Kathy Bucciarelli (Giovanni) from Hoover, AL. Jean was born on March 24, 1926 to George and Jessie McArdle in Iaeger, WV. She had one sister, Betty Hatcher of Roanoke, VA, who also died from Alzheimer's, and one brother, Jack McArdle, who lives in Bristol, VA. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, husband, granddaughter (Amanda Bucciarelli), and great-granddaughter (Josie Dickinson). A native of Roderfield, W.Va., he had been a Peninsula resident since 1968. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having retired as a master sergeant in 1968, after 20 years of service. Mr. Dickinson was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in April 1970. He served as an elder and secretary of the Coliseum congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He is survived by his wife, Edith M. Dickinson; one daughter, Cynthia Miller, and her husband, Gerald, of Woods Cross Roads; one son, Roger Dickinson, and his wife, Maria, of Hayes; four grandchildren, Ryan Dickinson, Tina Dickinson, Andrew Miller and Laurel Miller; two sisters, Lillian Clark of Beckley, W.Va., and Arlene Germain of Newport News; and one brother, John Dickinson of Moneta. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lewis K. Dickinson Sr. and Alberta O'Neil Dickinson, and two brothers, Walter Dickinson and William Dickinson. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Mr. Dickinson's wife and family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Hampton for the care that they provided Mr. Dickinson over the years. They would like to say a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the intensive-care unit for the extraordinary love and kindness that they displayed toward Mr. Dickinson and his family during his recent illness. on December 19, 2001.⁴

     Delbert Paul Remaley II was buried at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Twin Falls, Twin Falls Co., Idaho.⁴ He Delbert Paul Remaley, age 70, of Twin Falls, Idaho, passed away on August 24, 2016, at St. Lukes Hospital in Twin Falls. Paul was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, on September 22, 1945, to Delbert Paul and Letha Remaley. He graduated from Brockway Area High School in 1964 and later attended West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, WV, where he met his lifelong sweetheart, Sue. Paul and Sue were married on December 27, 1967 in Beckley, WV. Paul graduated from Idaho State University in 1972 with his B.A. degree in Education. Paul loved to be with his family, enjoyed the great outdoors, and never missed an opportunity to travel. This might be in an RV, driving a coach bus, or in a car. He was an avid camper and loved his woodworking. He taught in the Twin Falls School District for 35 years and touched the lives of numerous people throughout those years. He was also very active in the Filer United Methodist Church. Paul was a member of Twin Falls Masonic Lodge #45, Twin Falls Chapter #29, Order of the Eastern Star, Garnet Court Order of the Amaranth, and El Korah Shrine. Closest to his heart was his work with the Job’s Daughters. He also enjoyed his time working with the Board of Directors for Pioneer Federal Credit Union. Paul is survived by his wife Sue, mother, Letha; daughter, Sherawn (Brian) Reberry, of Boise; sons: Trey (Angie) Remaley, of Wesley Chapel, FL, and Derek (Courtney) Remaley, of Beckley, WV; five beautiful grandchildren: Kelsy (Chris) Skidmore, Elli Reberry, Tylah and Madison Remaley, and Eli Remaley; and his siblings: Paula (Sean) von Lindern, of Boise, Wesley (Benita) Remaley, of Jerome, and Philip (Sonja) Remaley, of Yerington, NV. His father, Rev.      Dorothy Guerrant Dorothy Guerrant Dickinson, 92, of Charlotte, NC passed away Thursday afternoon, Feb. 27, 2014 at Autumn Care of Marshville. Born in Goochland County, Virginia on October 5, 1921, Dorothy was a daughter of the late John and Jennie Nicholas Guerrant and was employed in the bookkeeping department of Ivey’s. Preceding her in death was her husband, William S. Dickinson. Survivors include four children, John Dickinson and his wife, Carol T. of Matthews, NC, Thomas Dickinson and his wife, Katherine R. of Charlotte, NC, Nancy Brooks and her husband, Kinney of Matthews, NC and Donna Dickinson of Greenville, SC. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, Allison Khan, Elizabeth R. Dickinson, Gregory T. Dickinson, Charles Brooks, Nicholas Brooks, William Boyle and Grady Boyle along with one great grandson, Edison Khan.² She was buried at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 1504 West Sugar Creek, Charlotte, Mecklenburg Co., North Carolina.⁴ She was born on October 5, 1921 at Goochland Co., Virginia.^5,2 As of April 5, 1947,her married name was Dickinson.¹ She married William Shirley Dickinson, son of Lewis Keller Dickinson Sr. and Alberta I. She was born on September 1, 1922 in Mears, Virginia. She loved gardening flowers and spending time with her family. She was a very active member of Noland United Methodist Church for many years until its closing. Up until her passing she was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newport News. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter T. Dickinson; son, James Walter Dickinson; parents, Mary and John Hundley Mears; sisters, Inez May Mears, Mary Inez Davis, Pauline Yost; and brothers, Grayson Mears, Keith Mears, Randy Mears. She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Ann Dickinson Barker; grandson, Todd Barker and wife, Sarah; great-grandchildren, Hailey Sundeen, Ben Furr and Zachary Rios; and sister, Nora Iacobucci of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Burial will take place in Peninsula Memorial Park. on May 20, 2016.²

     Daniel Stephen Barker was buried at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Baxter Co., Arkansas.³ He Daniel “Danny” Stephen Barker, 77, passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2024, in Buffalo City, Arkansas. He was born in Dayton, Ohio, on April 4, 1947, to Sherman L. Barker and Helen W. Barker. Danny graduated from Warwick High School in Newport News, VA, in 1965, where he was a standout player on the school's basketball team, affectionately nicknamed “String Bean” for his tall, slender build. After high school, he attended the Apprentice School at Newport News Shipbuilding, completing a four-year program. He became a machinist supervisor specializing in CNC machine tools, retiring after 41 years of dedicated service. In 1983, while on a fishing trip to Arkansas, Danny met his future wife, Lena Fountain. They were married for 37 years. After retiring in 2006, Danny and Lena moved back to Arkansas, where they embraced their shared love for fishing. They built a house on the White River, which became the heart of Danny’s passion for fishing. Taking the advice of his brother-in-law, Charlie, Danny became a guide on the White and North Fork Rivers. He wasn’t just a guide but a beloved teacher, sharing his extensive knowledge through teaching opportunities, speaking engagements, and mentoring his clients. He was an active member of North Arkansas Fly Fishers (NAFF) and recently completed a book of stories from his early fishing years, intending to donate all proceeds to NAFF’s youth program. Danny was known as #1 of the “3 Amigos” alongside his close friends, Paul and Dave, who shared his love for fishing. When not guiding a trip, he could often be found on the river with his fellow Amigos. His sudden passing, while unexpected, occurred in the place he loved most-on the river, in his boat. Danny is survived by his wife, Lena; two brothers, Edward (Nancy) Barker of Lynchburg, VA, and Michael Barker of Silsbee, TX; three daughters, Shelley (Jerry)Wilson of Mountain Home, AR, Karen (Gary) Dwight of Calico Rock, AR, and Melissa (Martin) Hauch of Cave Springs, AR; and two sons, Todd (Samantha) Barker of Gloucester, VA, and Michael (Tammy) Payne of Gassville, AR. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, all of whom he loved dearly. Danny was preceded in death by his parents.
