Those left to cherish her memory include daughter, Emma Jean Schmidt and husband, Roger, of Melbourne; granddaughter, Pamela Kacerosky and husband, John, of Orlando, Fla; grandson, George Schmidt and wife, Merry, of Athens, Ala; great-grandson, Jacob Schmidt of Athens; and sisters, Dollie Graybeal of Midway and Louella Hill of Norfolk, Va. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. on September 22, 2007.4

Born October 3, 1940 in Midway, WV, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Mary Pittman Vaught. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her three grandchildren. She retired from Raleigh County Federal Credit Union where she worked as a teller/loan officer. She also work for many years at the family business Pee Wee’s Market in Crab Orchard and at Tilsons IGA in Coal City. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 14 years, Charles E. Swift; two daughters, Sherry Ann and Anna Lou Swift and brother, Ronald Vaught. Those left to cherish her memory include her brother, Lester Harold Vaught and wife Mary Ellen of Beckley; four nephews; son, Brian Swift and wife Janie who was her caregiver for the past 16 years; three grandchildren, Kristen Swift of Boise Idaho, Shawn and Cody Swift of Hickory, NC. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Redis, of Marianna; three brothers, Roy Rose of Big Sandy, Everett Rose of Bluefield, Va., and Lincoln Rose of Cincinnati; and two sisters, Evelyn Farley of Pineville and Juanita Mullins of Bluefield, Va. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny. on June 2, 1993.10

He was 84. Mr. Rose moved to Cincinnati in 1958 from Welch, W.Va., where he had worked as a safety foreman and a line foreman in the coal mining industry. He previously worked for Island Creek, JNL and Twin Branch Cables coal companies. In Cincinnati, Mr. Rose had worked at Powell Valve Co. in the West End until retiring in 1980. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 483 for several years. Surviving are a son, Kenneth M. Rose of Mount Carmel; three granddaughters, Valerie Andrew of Amelia, Angela Ernst of Mount Washington and Michelle McLellan of Jupiter, Fla; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Roy Rose of Roderfield, W.Va., and Everett Rose of Bluefield, Va; and two sisters, Evelyn Farley of Pineville, W.Va., and Juanita Mullins of Bluefield, W.Va. Interment will follow at the Vine Street Hill Cemetery in Clifton. on December 9, 1998.7

Dickinson of Newport News; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Burial will be in Peninsula Memorial Park. on September 11, 1982.8
