     Charles J. McMahon was born circa 1915.¹ He married Frances Alberta Cook, daughter of Fred Albert Cook and Anna Katherine Hombrosky, on October 23, 1972 at San Diego, San Diego Co., California.¹

     Kathleen Frances Seipel was born on May 4, 1948 at San Diego, San Diego Co., California.^1,3 As of August 9, 1969,her married name was Davis.² She married Terry D. Davis on August 9, 1969 at San Diego, San Diego Co., California.^2,3 Kathleen Frances Seipel died on September 1, 2011 at San Diego, San Diego Co., California, at age 63.³ She DAVIS, KATHLEEN (SEIPEL), May 4, 1948 to September 1, 2011. Kathy was born a blessing and a gift to Edson and Frances Seipel in San Diego in 1948. She was the youngest of three siblings, with two older brothers, Tim and Jim. Her dream was always to be an educator, and it was fulfilled during her 35 year career as an elementary school teacher in the Santee School District. She was honored as one of Santee's "Teacher of the Year." In 1969, she wed her high school sweetheart, Terry Davis. They both attended and graduated from UCSD, and later earned teaching credentials and began their careers in education in 1971. Kathy taught 1st or 2nd grade during her entire career and loved helping her primary students get off to a solid start in education, especially working hard to make certain they learned to read. Kathy created and published a new, highly successful, complete language curriculum still being used throughout the Santee District. She was regularly complimented and praised by the parents of those fortunate enough to be in her classes and by other teachers whom she was always willing to help. During their 42 year marriage, Kathy and Terry had two children, a son, Timothy, and a daughter, Kelly. As much as Kathy was an excellent and dedicated teacher, she was even better at being a loving mother, wife, and grandmother. Besides her family, Kathy collected innumerable friends, some from as far back as elementary school, who loved and appreciated her wonderful kindness and amazing, caring heart. Kathy lost a year-long battle with carcinoid cancer on September 1st. She is survived by her husband Terry, her two children, and two grandchildren, Kai and Trevor, but the weight of her loss has touched and saddened the heart of everyone who knew her. In lieu of flowers, Kathy Davis Memorial Fund has been established to help school children.      Marie Wilson was buried at Bowen Chapel Cemetery, Olive Hill, Carter Co., Kentucky.¹ She MOREHEAD – MARIE WILSON COOK JORDAN, age 87, of Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, passed away Thursday morning, November 27, at the Life Care Center in Morehead. She was born August 5, 1921, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Avery Sr. and Jenny Ellison Wilson. Marie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a homemaker, a member of the Bowen Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and retired from the Carter County Board of Education where she was employed as a cook. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of thirty-six years, Doff Boyd Cook; one son, Boyd Edward Cook; three brothers, Avery Wilson, Jr., Woodrow Wilson and Ralph Wilson; twin sisters, Mearl Ferguson and Pearl Clark. She is survived by her second husband of twenty-three years, Ernest Jordan of Morehead; two sons and daughters-in-law, Fred Lane and Pauletta Cook of Ashland, Jim and June Jordan of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Colleen and Paul Smith of Elliott County, Sharon Kay and Arlen Helterbrand of Indianapolis, Indiana and Jenny Hope Hawes of Simpsonville; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, John D. and Eleanor Wilson of Knoxville, Tennessee; one sister and brother-in-law, Katherine and Jim Dalton of Ashland; a special care giver, Lori Marler; she also leaves several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends who will sadly mourn her passing. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 29, at the Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Clyde Holbrook and Brother Dale Richmond officiating. Burial followed in the Bowen Chapel Cemetery in Olive Hill.      Boyd Edward Cook was buried at Bowen Chapel Cemetery, Olive Hill, Carter Co., Kentucky.³ He was born on March 12, 1944 at Boyd Co., Kentucky.^2,3 He died on March 16, 1944 at Kentucky.³

     Sharon K. Cook was born on July 12, 1945 at Carter Co., Kentucky.^1,2,3 As of November 10, 1962,her married name was Helterbrand.² She married Arlen Helterbrand on November 10, 1962.² Sharon K. Cook died on December 6, 2011 at Zionsville, Boone Co., Indiana, at age 66.^2,3 She Sharon Kay Helterbrand, 66, of Zionsville, IN passed away at home on December 6, 2011 after a four-year battle with brain cancer. Sharon was born on July 12, 1945, to the late Doff B. and Marie Wilson Cook in Upper Tygart, Kentucky. She married Arlen Helterbrand on November 10, 1962.& Sharon drove a special needs school bus for Zionsville Community School Corporation. Sharon was a member of Eagle Creek Evangelical Friends Church. Her love for the Lord and her faith in Him were evident to everyone Sharon met. Sharon loved spending time with her family; her faith and the love of her family sustained and strengthened her throughout her illness. Sharon possessed an enamored patriotism for her country, volunteering for the USO, writing letters to U. S. soldiers, and supporting several veterans associations. She also supported Right to Life. Sharon is survived by her husband, Arlen; her children: Mariea& Best (Haroon Ahmed), Lynn Barnhill (Bill), Denise Koers, AP Helterbrand (Laura), and Andrew Helterbrand (Sabrina); eight grandchildren; and siblings: Sandra Colleen Smith, Jenny Hope Hawes, and Fred Lane Cook. Visitation will be Friday, December 9, 2011 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine Street, Zionsville, IN& 46077. Services will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. at Eagle Creek Evangelical Friends Church, 18103 Eagletown Road, Westfield, IN& 46074, with calling there from 1 p.m. to time of service.& Rev. Mrs. Beaulieu was born on July 24, 1907, in Lowell, VT, and had lived in this area since 1958. She was a member of St. Lukes United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Fawn Spivey, in 1992, and a son, Edward Cook, in 1964. Survivors include her husband, Hilaire Beaulieu; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. on April 5, 1998.⁴

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Carson Blue Ridge Chapel. Mrs. Spivey was born in Lowell, Vt., and lived in Kansas City for 20 years. She was a sales clerk for The Jones Store Co. at Bannister Mall for 10 years. She was a member of the church. Survivors include her husband, Pau l Spivey of the home; two sons, Paul H. Spivey, Lansing in Leavenworth County, and Roy C. Spivey, Alexandria, Va; two daughters, Tawna N. Nemec and Mary Nieman, and her mother and stepfather, Thelma and Hilaire Beaulieu, all of Kansas City; and five grandchildren. on November 20, 1992.⁶

     Paul J. Spivey Jr. died on March 29, 2002 at Kansas City, Jackson Co., Missouri, at age 71.^4,3 He Paul Spivey Jr., 71, Command Sergeant Major, United States Army (Retired), of Kansas City, MO, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel; burial in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice. Paul was born August 8, 1930, in Rich Square, NC. He served 264 years in the Army before retiring in the Kansas City area in 1973. Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Fawn. He is survived by his children, Paul H. Spivey and wife Ginny, Tawna B. Nemec, Roy C. Spivey and wife Donna, and Mary C. Nieman and husband Mark, seven grandchildren, Johnnie, Brandi, Paul J., Hilary, Andy, Ashley and Ian, and one greatgranddaughter Syndey. He is also survived by his sister Martha Hall, and two brothers, Emmett and Richard Spivey. on March 31, 2002.³
