A native of Greenup County, Ky., he was a retired employe of Empire-Detroit Steel Corp. He had worked in the brick masons department and operated heavy equipment, and was a member of United Steel Workers Local 2116. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Evans; three sons, Earl of Gephart Rd., Wheelersburg Rt. 1, Don, 1927 Grant St., and George M., at home; a sister, Mrs. Violet Pierce of Franklin Furnace; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Rev. Frank Williams is to conduct services at 2 p.m. Friday at Harrison Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Burial is to be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. on September 19, 1973.²

Henson was a retired construction foreman for the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Co. and a member the Telephone Pioneers of America, Chapter 42. Survivors include two sons, Edward Lee of Lake Helen, Fla., and Frank Henson of Fayetteville; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Jo Goddard of Warren, Mich; three brothers, Albert R. of Bluefield, Hubert E. of St. Albans and Claude H. Henson of Frariers Bottom; sisters, Mrs. Elva C. Johnson of Ohio, and Mrs. Ollie M. Ruggles and Mrs. Delcie E. Paul, both Hurricane; seven grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren. on March 15, 1977.⁴

Edward was born February 16 1929; he was the son of the late Louise Lattanzi and Melvin Henson. He is survived by wife Connie and children Tami (Herminio) Gonzalez, AL; Sherri (Bob) Teuton, MN; Karen (Terry) Jackson, Miss; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and brother Frank Henson, W. Virginia. He was predeceased by a sister Betty Jo Goddard, Michigan; grandson Eric Jackson, Georgia; great granddaughter Maddie Jackson, Georgia. A private ceremony is being held in his memory. on December 28, 2013.³

     Henry Franklin "Frank" Henson was buried at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia.² He was born on November 24, 1930 at Fayetteville, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^2,3 He married Betty Lou Myers on December 15, 1951 at Smithers, Fayette Co., West Virginia.^2,4 Henry Franklin "Frank" Henson died on November 7, 2018 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 87.² He Henry Franklin "Frank" Henson, 87, of Fayetteville, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Hospice of Southern West Virginia in Beckley. Born November 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Melvin Lee Henson and Effie Louise Martin. Frank was the oldest living member at the Fayetteville Baptist Church, where he became a member in 1948. He was also a veteran of the United States Army and a retiree from Elkem Metals/Union Carbide. He was preceded in death by his wife and childhood sweetheart, Betty Myers Henson, his brother Edward "Hink" Henson (surviving wife Connie) of Florida, and by his sister, Betty Jo Goddard and brother-in-law Harold Goddard of Michigan. Survivors include daughters Cathy (Steve) Broughman of Oak Hill and Jeannie (David) Morris of Charleston. Grandchildren include Stephen Broughman II, Stephanie (Jared) Lipscomb, Jacob Henry Morris and Samuel Stone Morris, and a host of very special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 12th, 2018 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, in Fayetteville, with Pastors Michael Belcher (nephew) and David Sneed officiating. Entombment will follow at Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 12 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
