Surviving are his wife, Ruth; seven daughters, Mrs. Betty White of Ronceverte, Mrs. Bonnie Flack of Union, and Ruby, Caroline, Nancy, Rose, and Mary Sue Elmore, all at home; seven sons, James of Sinks Grove, and Earl, Lewis, Vernon, Dallas, Thomas and Oral, all at home; a stepson, Leroy Vance of, Caldwell; six sisters, Mrs. Gaye Dalton of Sinks Grove, Mrs. Mary Hedrick of Newport News, Va., Mrs. Rosie Wickline of Hollywood, Mrs. Mattie Wykle and Mrs. Danese Saunders, both of Ronceverte, Mrs. Betty Trent of Second Creek; three brothers, T. R. and Gordon, both of Second Greek, and Bernie of Keenen; six grandchildren. Service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bruffey Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. A. B. Shiflet and Rev. Loyd Miller officiating. Burial will be at Wylie Chapel Cemetery in Monroe County. on June 6, 1960.5
