Born August 11, 1922 in St. Louis Mich., she was the daughter of Hiram and Ethel Smith Good. She was a graduate of St. Louis Michigan High School. Mrs. Moorehead produced auto pilots for the World War II planes in Pontiac, Mich. She was married to Kenneth L. Morehead, who preceded her in death Nov. 27, 1982. She and her husband operated a farm for many years. Mrs Moorehead moved to the Venus area in 1947. She was a member of the Pine Grove Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Morehead was an avid bingo player and enjoy going to auctions in yard sales. She was well known for her cole slaw. Surviving are the following children; Kenneth L. Moorehead and wife Mary Lou, of Oil City, Mary Campbell and husband Russell, of Meadville, Margie Foust and husband Charles, Venus, Brenda Warner and husband Douglas, of Cranberry, Eric Moorehead of Albion, Mark Moorehead and wife Liane of Benzette, and Scott Moorehead of Oil City; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her dear friends Jim and Marion bickel of Coal Hill. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Faller Funeral Home, Fryburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Paul Knight officiating. Interment will be in the Heckathorn Cemetery.2 She was born on August 11, 1922 at St. Louis, Gratiot Co., Michigan.1,3,2 As of July 18, 1946,her married name was Moorehead.1 She married Kenneth L. "Bill" Walter, 84, of Tionesta, died Tuesday, June 4, 1996, at the home of his sister in Bolivar, N.Y. Born Jan. 17, 1912, in Tionesta, he was a son of Charles D. and Anna Mae Highley Walter. Mr. Walter was self-employed in the auto repair business in Erie, having owned Bill's Garage until he retired in 1980. He then worked as a heavy equipment operator in the Erie County area. In the past, he served with the sheriff's posse and was a state police officer, both in Erie County. Mr. Walter was married in Tionesta Dec. 21, 1946, to Betty Jane Moorehead, who died Nov. 10, 1986. Surviving are two daughters, Judith A. Swartzfager of Erie and Sandra J. Gust of Phoenix, Ariz; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ethel Haslett of Bolivar, N.Y; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Walter was preceded in death by two brothers, Archie Walter and Glenn "Pete" Walter, and four sisters, Jean Harp, Altia Steinmiller, Bessie Durr and Lydia D. Wolf. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home in Tionesta. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. Anette V. Gerber, pastor of the Tionesta United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery in Cranberry Township, Venango County. on June 5, 1996.5

Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Weaver Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Guy Tilley and Pastor Jim Fields officiating. The body will then be taken to Clock Funeral Home in Muskegon, Mich., where graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. on October 16, 1992.3

     Floyd Archibald Brinkley Floyd A. Brinkley, 72, of 57 Mineral Street, Oil City, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at the Golden Living Center in Oil City following a short illness. Born in Vowinckel, PA on March 18, 1938, the son of the late James Brinkley and Delena Hulings Brinkley, surviving. He attended Cranberry schools. After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years spending 18 months in Goosebay, Labrador. He was married on January 30th, 1960, to Mary Lorraine Kryk, who survies, at St Patrick's church in Franklin by Father Bernard Webber, Celebrating 50 years of marriage this year. For many years he was a truck driver for Evenflo Corporation. He then moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia, for 15 years working various maintenance jobs. Upon his retirement in 2001 he returned to Oil City where he resided with his wife Lorraine and their dog Blue. Along with his wife Lorraine, he is survived by his children Mike and Susan Niederriter of Pittsburgh, John and Judy Brinkley of Cape Canaveral, Florida, Ron Brinkley of Atlanta, Georgia, and Robin Brinkley of Brockway, PA; Grandchildren Shane, Corey, Crystal and Logan Niederriter, Sarah, Zachary and Anna Brinkley; Siblings Diane Langford, Linda Brinkley and John Brinkley; Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Cathy and Pat Clutter and eleven nieces and nephews. He enjoyed fishing, talking with people, working on his home and helping others. He had a wide circle of friends. After his retirement he enjoyed walking his dog and spending time with his grandchildren.
