Pastor Bobby Glenn Edwards, 47, resident of 1951 Knoll Dr. departed this life Friday evening at 5:50 p.m. at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom he faithfully served. Pastor Edwards was born August l8, 1961 in Kinston, N.C. a son of Bobbie Earl and Helen Moore Edwards. He had been a resident of the Archdale area since l986 and was a graduate of Liberty University. Pastor Edwards had a deep love for the youth and served as youth pastor of Gospel Baptist before he accepted the call as Senior Pastor. He was involved as a coach in the Archdale-Trinity Youth League, Hillsville Youth League, and Fayetteville Street Christian School in Asheboro. On August 6, 1983 he was married to Donna Greene who survives of the home. Also surviving are 2 daughters; Allison Michelle and Emily Morgan Edwards both of the home; 1 son; Austin Michael Edwards of the home; 1 Brother; Jimmy Edwards and wife April of Lenoir and his father; Bobbie Earl Edwards of Mint Hill. Pastor Edwards was preceded in death by his mother and twin sons; Justin & Jordan Edwards. A treasured wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Eunice was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents, and brother Wayne. She is survived by sons Robert Fielden of West Sacramento; son John Fielden and daughter-in-law Sandra, granddaughter Hillary Fielden and great-grandsons Timothy and William Bishop, all of Davis; sister Bette McLellan and brother Brian Howard of British Columbia; and many cousins, nieces and nephews and their children. on October 10, 2003.4
