Stapleton Meadows, preceded him in death. They were married on March 10, 1960. Meadows served in the U.S. Air Force and worked and retired from N&W Railroad. A family member said he was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and loved gardening and antique cars. He leaves two sons: Matt (Michelle) Meadows of Paris and Stephen (Jada) Meadows of Kentucky; five sisters: Shirley Boyce and Grace McCoy, both of Augusta, W.Va ., Stephana Robbins of Murfreesboro, Geraldine Berg of Petersburg, W.Va ., and Claudette Tribble of PawPaw, W.Va ; one brother: Donald Meadows of Peru, Ind; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Rodney and Ronald Meadows, also preceded him in death. on May 8, 2013.²

Stapleton died on August 27, 2000 at Peru Township, Miami Co., Indiana, at age 65.²
