She was born April 2, 1929 in Tipton, Indiana a daughter of the late Benjamin H. and Esther M. (Martin) Lamb. Her formative years were spent in Mexico, IN. She graduated from Mexico High School. On March 23, 1949 she was united in marriage to Eugene E. Eby. They made their home near Knapp Lake, Noble County. Mr. Eby died November 1, 1990. She was a full time homemaker raising their 3 children. She belonged to American Legion Post 98, Columbia City. She is survived by her 3 sons, Jeff (Kathy) Eby, Fort Wayne, Ricky Eby, Columbia City and Eric Eby, Knapp Lake; 3 grandchildren and her caretaker and niece, Ruth Lamb, Fort Wayne. Services will be 1 p.m Wednesday at Hunt Funeral Home with burial to follow in East Union Cemetery near Tipton. on February 3, 1970.4

Before moving to West Monroe, he lived in Charleston, W.Va., where he as a deacon for 12 years at Baptist Temple. He was an active member of Gideons International for 34 years. Mr. Barbour was a graduate of Marshall University, Huntington, with a Master's Degree in pre-law. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as a first lieutenant in two wars: World War II where he was in campaigns under General Eisenhower, including the Normandy Invasion; and the Korean Conflict. He was a telephone engineer for C&P Telephone Company for 42 years. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Barbour and Marble Walker, and sisters, Ruby Newburg and Edna Walker. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frenchie Golsby Barbour; son, Kenneth Lee Barbour of Aiken, S.C; daughter, Jill Barbour of Macon, Ga., brother, Dr. Alfred Walker and wife, Janet, of Baltimore, Md; brother-in-law, Richard Newberg of Philadelphia, Pa; and many nieces and nephews. on August 4, 2006.4
