She is preceded in death by her husband; Ronald Harper, parents; Samuel and Genevieve Romine, and sisters; Jo Ann Hoffman, and Judy Butts. Lynda is survived by her sons; Douglas (Angela) Harper of Charleston, Jason (Stacey) Harper of Morgantown, sister; Sammye Sands of Largo, FL, grandchildren Roni Lynn (James) and son Zachary, Jackson, Evie, William, Benjamin, and her dear friends; Suzanne Posey, Jason Cobb and many very special nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Terry Stone officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Dunbar. on November 17, 2020.5

She was born Jan. 7, 1923, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Fred W. and Mary Cerilla Grabowski. A grandson, Adam Quentin Arthur of Parkersburg, also preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Charleston Catholic High School's class of 1941 and was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Anna was a retired cashier from the city of Charleston. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Quentin E. Arthur, owner of the Fife Street Shoe Shop; daughter, Mary Ann Sturey of Greensboro, N.C; sons, James Q. Arthur of Parkersburg, William E. Arthur of Charleston, John C. Arthur of Greenville, S.C., Richard "Andy" Arthur of Charleston; grandchildren, Amy Mae Arthur, Kara Alexandra Sturey, Allyson Lee Sturey, John Nicholas Arthur, Daniel Alexander Arthur, Zachary Andrew Arthur, Noah James Arthur, Richard E. Perkins and Anthony F. Perkins; great-grandchildren, Nathan F. Perkins and Allie Mae Lynn Perkins; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Elk Funeral Home, 2001 Pennsylvania Ave., Charleston, with father Dismas Young officiating. Burial will follow in the Arthur family cemetery, Edens Fork. on August 24, 2004.2

     William Ernest "Bill" Arthur On Monday, August 10, 2020 William "Bill" E. Arthur, loving son, brother, & uncle passed away at home at age 72. Bill was born on July 2, 1948 in Charleston, WV to the late Quentin & Anna Mae Arthur. Bill was also preceded in death by his nephew, Adam, and sweet dog "Annie". He graduated from Charleston Catholic High School, attended Morris Harvey College, and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Besides being an avid dog lover and spending time at the family camp on the Elk River "his happy place"; he was known to many as "The Admiral". Bill combined his love of Chris Craft Boats and passion for cooking into a 35 plus career owning & running "The Admirals Anchor". It gave him great joy to watch his friends and family enjoy themselves there. He is survived Arthur brothers, Jim (Fran), John (Susan), Andy (Kay); sister, Mary Ann Sturey (Bob); nieces, Amy, Kara, and Allyson; nephews, Ricky, Tony, Nicholas, Daniel, Zach and Noah; several cousins, and 5 great nephews and 1 great niece and 1 great-great niece.3 He was born on July 2, 1948 at Charleston, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2,3 He married Kathy Anne Jackson on December 19, 1988 at Giles Co., Virginia.2 William Ernest "Bill" Arthur died on August 10, 2020 at West Virginia at age 72.3
