He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Rucker; brother, Arnold Rucker; brother-in-law, Earl Brizendine; and special friend, Landon Gill. Surviving are his father, Lawrence Rucker, of Roanoke; daughter, Sherri Taylor, of Roanoke; son, Bobby Campbell and fiancée, Resheria Martin, of Roanoke; daughter, Kim Campbell, of Staunton; and son, Chris Campbell, of Roanoke.      David Rose was buried at Portage Prairie Cemetery, German Township, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.¹ He was born on December 12, 1847 at Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania; His death certificate and obituary have a birth year of 1844.^1,3,4 He married Mary E. Frame, daughter of Abram Frame and Martha Poff, on August 25, 1871 at St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^1,2 David Rose died on January 1, 1922 at Warren Township, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 74; His gravestone has a death date of Jan 2, 1922.^1,3,4 He David Rose, age 77, died Sunday at his home in Warren township after an illness with heart disease. He was born in Dolphin county, Pennsylvania, Dec. 12, 1844, and came to Warren township from Pennsylvania 49 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mary; two sons, Abram and Edgar, both of this city, and one sister, Mary, of Harrisburg, Pa. on January 2, 1922.⁴

     John Abram Rose Sr. was buried at Highland Cemetery, 2257 Portage Avenue, South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^3,4 He was born on March 18, 1872 at Warren Township, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.^3,4 He married Huldah Irene Morlan on October 2, 1920 at Berrien Center, Berrien Co., Michigan.^2,4 John Abram Rose Sr. John Abram (Abe) Rose, aged 76, died at 6:50 a. m. today in his residence after an illness of five days. He was born in Warren township, St. Joseph county, March 18, 1872, and spent all of his life here. On Oct. 2, 1920, in Berrien Center, Mich., he married Huldah Morlan, who survives. Mr. Rose was the superintendent of the Gafill Oil company warehouse here. Surviving are his widow; three children, Miss Dorothy J. Rose and John Abram, jr., both of South Bend, and Mary Bartz, of St. Joseph, Mich., and a brother, Edgar, of South Bend. Burial will be in Highland cemetery. on November 24, 1948.⁴ He died on November 24, 1948 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 76.^3,4

He had lived with the Helds since Christmas, coming here from South Bend. Mr. Rose was born Nov. 23, 1879, in St. Joseph county. His wife, Minnie, died in 1959. Five grandchildren also survive. Mr. Rose was a member of the Second Brethren church of South Bend and the Eagles lodge. on April 24, 1961.⁸
