     William Lee Walsh was buried at Gilliland Cemetery, Sweet Home, Linn Co., Oregon.1 He was born on January 6, 1936 at Lenoir, Caldwell Co., North Carolina.2 He married Barbara Louise Brown, daughter of Clarence Leonard Brown and Alice Louise Coover, in July, 1964.3,2 William Lee Walsh died on June 24, 2012 at Lebanon, Linn Co., Oregon, at age 76.2 He William L. "Willie" Walsh, 76, of Lebanon, died of Alzheimer's related complications on June 24, 2012, at Regency Albany. A private family service will be held at Gilliland Cemetery in Sweet Home. He wa born in Lenoir, N.C., on Jan. 6, 1936. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1955. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at various locations throughout the South Pacific during his service. After his honorable discharge in Mt. Home, Idaho, he came to Sweet Home, and later to Lebanon, where he settled in to work and raise a family. He married his wife Barbara in July 1964, and raised three children, William Jr., Edith and Michael. He became owner and operator of Hosking Supply Co. in Lebanon and later, Western Metal Fab. He volunteered to spearhead a capital campaign aimed at building a new Boys & Girls Club. The culmination of his dedication to the Lebanon community came in 1986, when he was honored as "Man of the Year." He is survived by his wife Barbara of Lebanon; daughter and son-in-law Edith Walsh-Shanks and Kevin Shanks; his son and daughter-in-law Michael Walsh and Paula Walstu; his grandson Christopher LaBelle and his wife Jillian; great-grandchildren Taylor LaBelle and Joshua LaBelle; sisters Christine Shawl, Martha "Goge" Lemons and Diane Moss. His son William Jr. died in 1977. on July 11, 2012.2

He grew up in Kansas City, Kan., where he graduated from Washington High School in 1969. He joined the U.S. Army that summer and served two years in Germany, before returning to Kansas City to work, primarily as an oil drill operator. He moved to Oregon six years ago, and settled in Lebanon. He was first diagnosed with colon cancer in 1995; the cancer was in remission, but came back in January of this year. Franklin liked riding motorcycles, going to car shows, learning new things and talking with friends and family. Survivors include his mother, Beverly Jean Franklin of Lebanon; a sister, Pamela T. Smith of Lebanon; two brothers, David Franklin of Lebanon and Barry D. Franklin of Kansas City, Kan; an aunt, Barbara Walsh of Lebanon; four uncles, Larry Brown of Lebanon and Carl Brown, Clarence Brown and Billie Joe Brown, all of Sweet Home; two nieces, two nephews and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill; two uncles, Fred and Dwight Brown; and two cousins. on April 7, 1999.6

Brothers Elgus and Murvel Frank died before her. Burial will follow in Gilliland Cemetery. on January 9, 1999.4
