Born on January 31, 1968, in Lynchburg, Va., he is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Lee Hardy. Denny enlisted in the United States Marine Corps right out of high school and remained a proud USMC veteran following his honorable discharge. He enjoyed being outdoors and was a skilled and avid hunter. Denny was a huge football fan and cheered the loudest for his Dallas Cowboys. Sunny days were his favorite and he always found a reason to get out in the sunshine. He was known for his work ethic and loyal service to the City of Salem Water Department. Above all, he adored his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
