Nancy was born June 30, 1927 in Clifton Forge, Virginia, a daughter of the late French Lee “The Shoe Man” Oakes and Janie Yeatts Oakes. She grew up in “the Heights” area of Clifton Forge with her seven brothers and sisters. A 1945 graduate of the former Clifton Forge High School, she married William G. “Bill” Musgrove on March 6, 1950 and the couple made their home in Arlington, Virginia and Berwyn Heights, Maryland, both employed by the Department of Defense. She had a love of music and listening to others preach the gospel. She also spent much of her time volunteering at Alleghany Regional Hospital in Low Moor and was a member of Central United Methodist Church. Her sense of humor and wonderful laugh will be missed, but to her loving family and friends, but she will always be smiling and dancing in Heaven.
