He was a member of River Outreach Church, a member of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity Alpha Epsilon Chapter, and a graduate of LSU. He was preceded in death by his father Leonard Tanner, Sr; sister, Linda Canterbury and sister-in-law, Beth Moreau. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Reba M. Holt-Tanner; son, Jackson Tanner; mother Lucy Mabry Tanner; brother, Len Tanner, Jr. and wife, Gail; sister, Juliet “Julie” Kimble and husband, Johnny; brother-in-law, Eddie Canterbury; a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends. Pallbearers will be Forrest Canterbury, Nick Kimble, Sean Kimble, Tanner Canterbury, Tyler Moreau, and Justin Moreau. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackson Tanner, Len Tanner, Eddie Canterbury, Tyler Salter, and Johnny Kimble.² He married Reba Holt, daughter of Marshall "Popeye" Holt and Carolyn Sue Phillips.^1,2 Robert Larry Tanner was born on July 18, 1961.² He died on February 22, 2019 at Alexandria, Rapides Parish, Louisiana, at age 57.²

     Carolyn Jeanette Finney was buried at Roseland Cemetery, Monticello, Jefferson Co., Florida.¹ She was born on June 18, 1939 at Maryland.¹ As of December 21, 1963,her married name was Finney-Holt.¹ She married Cecil Stuart Holt, son of Harbert William Holt and Lillie Miller Crowder, on December 21, 1963 at Orlando, Orange Co., Florida.^1,2 Carolyn Jeanette Finney died on January 12, 2017 at age 77.¹
