She was born October 20th, 1932, in Elkhart, Illinois, the daughter of Rosier H. and Thelma (Bosaw) Harriss. She married Walter L.M. Wood on September 16th, 1950, in Springfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Harriss; stepbrothers, Louis and William Walls; and stepsister, Mary Ann Walls. She is survived by her husband, Walter; sons, Keith "Woody" (Flo) Wood and C.J. (Stacey) Wood; daughters, Deb (Ed) Smith, Kathy (Kevin) Groesch and Nancy (Phil) Bosie; brother, Carl (Miriam) Harriss; stepsister, Lorraine (George) Taylor; 12 grandchildren, Don, Chris, and Craig (Heather) Smith, Michelle (Scott) Bee, Jen (Ron) Holliday, Kevin and Kristy Groesch, Michael Chapman, Kayla and Bradley Bosie, Michael and Lindsey Wood; and 16 great-grandchildren. She retired in 2008 from The IL. Dept. of Aging in Springfield after 20 years. She was a member of Calvary Temple Christian Center, where she participated in a Life Group, had assisted in the nursery and volunteered for many years at the Hope Thrift Center. She loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and also enjoyed reading and gardening. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. Interment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. on March 29, 2009.1

Keith E. "Woody" Wood was buried at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois.2,3 He Keith E. "Woody" Wood, 64, of Pleasant Plains, IL died at 6:06 pm Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born February 2, 1952 in Springfield, IL to Walter L. and Rosalie Harriss Wood. He married Florence "Flo" Wood on April 27, 1971 and she survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Michelle (Scott) Bee of Springfield and Jennifer (Ron) Holliday of Sherman; six grandchildren, Connor, Dylan, Matthew, Abby, Riley and Hannah; three sisters, Debbie (Ed) Smith of Petersburg, Kathy (Kevin) Groesch and Nancy Bosie both of Springfield; one brother C.J. (Stacey) Wood of Mt. Auburn, IL; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his cats Cleo and Sunshine.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He attended West Side Christian Church and Calvary Church. He loved helping others and was always willing to lend a hand. He was a certified Mechanic and enjoyed spending time with his family and going to his grandchildren's events. He retired from the Illinois Department of Public Health where he worked in the Immunization Record Division. Woody was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era as a EOD Specialist. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery, were Sangamon County Inter-Veterans Burial Detail will conduct military honors.2 He was born on February 2, 1952 at Springfield, Sangamon Co., Illinois.2,3 He married Florence "Flo" Unknown on April 27, 1971.2 Keith E. Wood, 57, of Springfield died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday at her residence. She was born March 5, 1936, in Springfield, the daughter of Rawley and Edith Pearson Hogarth. She married Wayne Wood in 1953 in Springfield. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter and two brothers. Mrs. Wood was a Springfield resident all of her life and a member of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul. Surviving are her husband; four sons; three daughters; 17 grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Hildebrand and Sharon Luetzow, both of Springfield; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Remains were cremated. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. on March 5, 1994.2
