He enjoyed martial arts and earned a Second Degree Black Belt. He was also a certified Tobacconist and was the owner of Cigar Monkey in Merced, California. Michael is survived by his high school sweetheart and beloved wife, Janet Siegel of Merced; his children, Benjamin Siegel of Clovis, Thomas Siegel and David Siegel both of Merced; his brother, Donald Siegel of Modesto and sister, Janis Miller of Fort Mohave, Arizona. Also surviving Michael are five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Barbara Siegel. There will be a military service held for Michael at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California. on August 13, 2021.²
