Mrs. Pickett was a member of the Bluefield Moose Lodge, Bluefield. In addition to her parents, her husband, Roderick “Nelson” Pickett also preceded Mrs. Pickett in death. Survivors: One daughter, Terry Lucado and husband Sandy of Pulaski, Va; three brothers, James H. Blevins and wife Polly of Route 3, Bluefield, Wayne Blevins and wife Pat of Montcalm, Roger “Pistol” Blevins and wife Sandy of Bluewell; one sister, Nancy York of Rock; two grandchildren, Alica and Rodrick Lucado; one great-grandchild, Jared Lucado. on December 26, 2005.³

Born on June 27, 1957 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Kyle Lucado, Sr. and Mildred Pennington Lucado. He was raised by his grandparents, M/M Russ Pennington. He was a retired truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sue Wright; and 2 uncles, B.J. and Butch Pennington. Survivors include: Wife, Terry Pickett Lucado of the home; Son, Rodrick Kyle Lucado of Dublin, VA; Daughter, Alicia Andrea Dickerson and Ro of Pulaski, VA; Brother, Weldon “Bucky” Lucado and Bernice of Bluefield, WV; 2 Sisters, Regena Davis and Bill of Brushfork, WV, Sandra Crotts and Thomas of Princeton; Grandson, Jared Tyler Lucado; Step-granddaughter, Paeslee Dickerson; Aunts and Uncles, Lorene Plymale of KY, Betty Candler of Bluefield, Shirley Sarver of Blacksburg, VA, Jane Havens of Bluefield, Harold “Bo” Pennington of Montcalm, Vicky French of Bluefield, VA, Richard Pennington of Montcalm; Several nieces and nephews.
