     Jimmy Dean Ballew and Janet Marie Bowling were divorced.⁴ Jimmy Dean Ballew Jimmy Dean Ballew, 66, of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia and formerly of Beckley, W.Va., passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 8, 2021. He was born on February 9, 1955, in Roanoke Rapids, N.C. to Charlie Ballew (Freda) and Connie Richards who preceded him in death. Jimmy was an avid carpenter. He enjoyed doing it every day. Jimmy could build anything you wanted. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy where he served on the same ship, The USS Robert E Perry, with his brother, Mike. At that time, it was very rare to put two brothers together on the same ship. They spent time together in Hawaii, Japan, the Philippines, Korea, Okinawa, Gaum, Midway and Taiwan. They always had their Navy stories to talk about when they got together and had a lot of laughs. Jimmy loved life and telling childhood stories with his oldest sister, Suzanne. They always had many laughs together. Jimmy is survived by his siblings, Suzanne Walker (Brent), Angie Martin, and Mike Ballew (Geannie), all of Beckley, W.Va., and Chris Ballew (Christine) of Lexington, S.C; his fiance, Diane; his special little dog, Little Bit, that he loved so much; and all of his nieces and nephews.³ He was born on February 9, 1955 at Roanoke Rapids, Halifax Co., North Carolina.^1,2,3 He married Janet Marie Bowling, daughter of Glen Bee Bowling and Maudie Lavelle Polk, on December 31, 1985 at Pearisburg, Giles Co., Virginia.¹ Jimmy Dean Ballew died on May 8, 2021 at Smith Mountain Lake, Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 66.³

     His Social Security Number was 265-94-4582.² Eugene Dale Pruett was born on September 20, 1951 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,2 He married Shirley Jean Norris on April 9, 1983 at Duval Co., Florida.³ Eugene Dale Pruett and Shirley Jean Norris were divorced on September 23, 1998 at Duval Co., Florida.⁴ Eugene Dale Pruett died on July 6, 2000 at age 48.²

     Sherry Lea Swift was buried at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5250 Robert Centre Byrd Drive, Prosperity, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.¹ She was born on August 23, 1970 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.³ She died on September 7, 1970 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^1,2 She SWIFT, Sherry Lea — The two-week-old daughter of Charles E. and Patricia Vaught Swift of Coal City, Raleigh County, died Monday at Raleigh General Hospital. Also surviving: brother, Bryan E. at home; grandparents, J. C. Swift of Coal City, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Vaught of Midway. Graveside service at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on September 8, 1970.¹
