     Stella Ruth Robosky Stella “Ruth” Brown (Robosky), age 85 of Crab Orchard, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord on July 29, 2024. Born on May 29, 1939, in Sophia, WV, she was a devoted and loving homemaker and a skilled seamstress who dedicated her life to her family. Stella graduated from Stoco High School and spent years working her magic with a sewing machine and caring for her family. Her hands were oftentimes in the ground, working with her beautiful flower beds and bushes. Many can attest to the fact that her lawn was one of the neatest kept lawns in Carter Addition - Crab Orchard. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Poindexter and son-in-law, Douglas of North Carolina; sister Virginia Sears of Kentucky, sister, Marie Newsome and brother-in-law, Wayne Newsome of North Carolina; brother, John Stephen Robosky of West Virginia; granddaughters, Danielle Smith of North Carolina and Heather Showalter of West Virginia; and great-grandsons, Taylor Smith of Florida and James McKinney of West Virginia. Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Lessie and John Robosky; husband, Charles Brown; daughter, Debi Showalter; sister, Betty Lou Shatley; and grandsons, Justin & Michael Smith. Services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park - Mausoleum B, located at 1925 Harper Road, Beckley, WV. Stella's kindness along with her spunky independent demeanor touched many lives. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends but they’re relieved to know she is no longer suffering. She is smiling down on us as she spends precious time with Jesus and loved ones that passed on before her and we know she is overjoyed to be rejoicing with her best friend...her mother Lessie Savannah.² She was buried at Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.^4,2 She was born on May 29, 1939 at Sophia, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.² As of May 4, 1957,her married name was Brown.³ She married Charles Vernon Brown, son of Donald Wilson Brown and Beatrice Hodges, on May 4, 1957 at Yadkinville, Yadkin Co., North Carolina.^1,3 Stella Ruth Robosky died on July 29, 2024 at West Virginia at age 85.²
