     Joseph Harold Carrico Joseph Harold Carrico, age 82, of Castle Rock, CO passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, August 13, 2022. Joe was born on October 11, 1939, to the late John E. Sr. and Annette (Hayden) Carrico. He was born and raised with his nine siblings in South Bend, IN where he attended Washington-Clay High School graduating with the class of 1959. Joe proudly served in the United States Army Reserves from 1961 to 1967 and was stationed at Fort Sill, OK. He cultivated a successful career in sales at Sears and Roebuck and in the automotive industry as a salesman in South Bend, IN. On June 14, 2000, Joe married Linda Temple in Tennessee and spent a memorable honeymoon in the Smokey Mountains. In 2006, Joe and Linda relocated to Castle Rock, CO where they have spent the last 16 years enjoying life and the beautiful mountains of Colorado. In Castle Rock, Joe worked for the Douglas County School District for 13 years where he forged many lasting relationships with staff and students alike. In his free time, Joe loved to meet and talk with people. He had a way of making everyone feel like family. He always had a good story to tell. Joe also loved classic cars, going to cars shows, the outdoors and spending time with his beloved dogs. Joe is survived by his wife, Linda Temple-Carrico of Castle Rock, CO; children, Mark (Julie) Carrico of Fort Wayne, IN; Sherry McGann of Grand Lake, CO; Wayne Temple (Kennen) of Elizabeth, CO; seven grandchildren, Collin Holdread, Haidyn, Emery and Luca Carrico, Conner McGann, A.J. Bacon and Cole Temple; sisters, Barbara Blair of Mishawaka, IN, and Sharon Loeffler of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, John E. Jr. of Granger, IN; Fred (Mary) of South Bend, IN; Daniel (Debra) of Osceola, IN; and David Carrico of Indianapolis, IN; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and cousins. Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert (Kenny) Carrico and Thomas Carrico; sister, Catherine Lois; and daughter, Angela (Carrico) Holdread. Joe’s passing leaves void in the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known him.2 He was born on October 11, 1939 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.2 He married Jo Anne Kollar, daughter of Stephen Arthur Kollar and Hazel Beryl Stevens, on October 6, 1962 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana.1,3 Joseph Harold Carrico died on August 13, 2022 at Castle Rock, Douglas Co., Colorado, at age 82.2
