He worked for Post Division of Kraft, Inc. from 1958 until retiring in 1991 as an accountant and computer systems specialist. He also served in the U. S. Army from 1956 through 1958. He is survived by his wife, Rita (Keselring) Replogle of Battle Creek; son, Steven B. (Lara) Replogle and grandchildren, Jack and Madeleine of Denver, Colorado; son, Donald L. (Kelly) Replogle of Battle Creek; and brother, Charles R. Replogle of Nashville. Paul was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie; daughter, Ellen Replogle; his parents; step-father, Frederick Whittelsey; and brother, John Replogle. Paul was a member of the Battle Creek Country Club, National Association of Accountants, Post Management Club, Post 25 Year Club, Quinsept User?s Group, National Genealogical Society, Calhoun County Genealogy Society and Fellowship of Brethren Genealogists. He has traced the Replogle family back to the 16th century and co-authored a book on its history. As a musician, Paul enjoyed listening to jazz and played trombone with Battle Creek Central High School Band and Band Follies (1950 to 1952), Michigan State University marching and concert band (1952 to 1954), U. S. Army Signal Corps Training School Band while in the military, American Legion Band and Battle Creek Musician's Union Local Concert Band (1960's), Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra and Battle Creek Jazz Ensemble (1970's to 1980's), Lew Boyd's Burnham Brook Big Band (1990's) and many high school, college, Army, and local dance bands too numerous to mention. He also composed and arranged music for some of these groups. In fact, Paul was the first resident of Battle Creek to have his own musical composition performed professionally in the W. K. Kellogg Auditorium. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery. on September 18, 2005.1

He was self-employed for 30 years at AAA Excavating and previously was a journeyman ironworker. Surviving are brothers, Paul Replogle of Battle Creek and Charles Replogle of Nashville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Community involvement/hobbies: Member of Iron Workers Union Local 340. Enjoyed maintaining his excavating vehicles and working in his yard. Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery. on December 30, 2000.4

Erta is survived by her daughters, Anna (Rodney) Cole of Athens, Voni (Andi) Kipp of East Leroy, Julie (Joe) Burdette of Battle Cree; son, Charles (Lalita) Replogle of Athens; grandchildren, Barry, Evan, Amber, Katlyn, Devin, April, Jared, Alana and Charles; great-grandchildren, Aalyiah and Alexis; and by her aunts, Janie, Ruth, and Betty; and nephews, Steve and Don. Erta also leaves behind many friends. She was preceded to heaven by her parents. She will be dearly missed by her wide circle of family and friends. Erta was a member of Alpha Chi Omega fraternity at Western Michigan University, the First Baptist Church of Battle Creek, and the North Athens Baptist Church. She loved making jewelry, painting, and drawing, and attending her children and grandchildren's sporting activities. She also enjoyed camping, campfires, swimming, and their cottage at the lake, balloon festivals, bird watching, and most especially, attending family reunions. Erta was a devoted Christian mother and grandmother. Her family called her Oma, which is a German term for Grandma. She loved the Lord and prayed daily for everyone. on February 19, 2008.4
