Mildred Ruth Smith Mildred Ruth Smith Bohucki - Mildred, 89, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, formerly of Potterville, MI, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 in Florida. Ruth was born in the historic town of Saltville Virginia, known as the Salt Capital of the Confederacy and site of some famous civil war battles. She lived on Hartel Road in Potterville for 55 plus years, where she was an Avon lady serving Potterville and surrounding area for close to 30 years. Ruth was also a member of the Potterville United Methodist Church. She spent most of her winters in Florida over the last 20 years and in her final days to be near her daughter. She is survived by her three children; Mike Smith of Livonia, MI, Mickie Harlow of Bristol, VA, and Amy Harris of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; three grandchildren, Tom Smith of MI and Andrew and Lindsey Harris of Florida; and a very special friend Yvonne "Sis" Moore of Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 36 years, Mirslaw "Joe" Bohucki in 1991; her parents, Chester Field and Viola Smith; and her sister Vivian and brother Elbert. Those who knew her remember her as a fun loving red head always ready for playing cards, bingo or a casino trip. Mickie Sue Brewer Mickie Sue Brewer Harlow, age 75, of Bristol, VA departed this life, Monday, January 16, 2023 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Abingdon, VA. Mickie was retired from Sprint Telephone after 30 years of service and had been employed by BVU. She was a member of Hunt Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Landon Brewer; her mother, Mildred Ruth Smith Bohucki. Also, her aunt, Dolly and uncle, Abb Allison whom she dearly loved and who assisted in her raising. Mickie is survived by her husband, Edward Harlow; step-sons, Alan Harlow (Melissa) of Bluff City, TN and Jeffery Cathey of Bristol, TN; two sisters, Amy Harris of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Tracie Redd of Alamo, CA; two brothers, Mike Smith of Livonia, MI and Todd Brewer of Houston, TX; a special cousin, who was like a brother, Boyce Allison of Bristol, VA; step-grandchildren, Courtney, Clay, and Autumn; niece, Lindsey Harris and nephews, Drew Harris and Tom Smith. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Survivors include: wife of 55 years, Willetta Nash Leonard; daughters, Arvella Williams and husband Mike, Regina Carrubba and husband Richard, Robin Watts and husband Ernie; grandchildren, A.J. and Andrew White, Christopher Carrubba, Stephanie Tate, and Michael Watts; three great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two nieces; and two nephews; special friends of 30 years, "Flip" and Dorothy Everts. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2010, at 8 p.m. in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Hudson, Andrew White and Brother Adam Sells officiating. Committal services will be at Glenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and special friends of the family. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Boccarosa, Dr. Mann, Dr. Dixon, Dr. McSherry and Dr. Borsh. Effie Mae Craighead was buried at Walnut Grove Cemetery, 3012 Lee Highway, Bristol, Virginia.3,2 She was born on December 14, 1906 at Floyd Co., Virginia.2,4 As of circa 1925,her married name was Clark.5 She married James Sunlocks "Doc" Clark circa 1925.5,4 Effie Mae Craighead died on February 25, 1962 at Bristol, Sullivan Co., Tennessee, at age 55.2 She Mrs. Effie Mae Clark, 57, of 320 East Mary Street, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday in Bristol Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Clark was a native of Floyd County, Va., but she had lived in Bristol most of her life. Surviving are her husband, James S. Clark; two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Rice, Bluff City, and Mrs. Earl Hicks, Bristol; three sons, Donald R. Clark, Bristol, Howard Clark, New London, Conn., and Jimmy Clark, Sandusky, Ohio; a brother, Garnett Craighead, Bristol; four sisters, Mrs. G. T. Lawrence, Salem, Va., and Mrs. Hugh Brewer, Mrs. Kelly Hashbarger and Mrs. Frank Leonard, all of Bristol; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. on February 27, 1962.4
