Jack served our country with the United States Army for 22 years. He was a member of Christian Life International Church. He loved being outdoors and working. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Dorcas Marie Eanes; daughter, Carolyn Law and husband, James; son, Jack Eanes Jr. and wife, Dale; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two stepgreatgranddaughters; and one great great granddaughter. He will also be sadly missed by a faithful companion, Bogard. A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2010, in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son with the Pastor David Tuell officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. on March 11, 2010.5

Spickard, of Troutville; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and devoted friends. Special thanks for their love and care to granddaughters, Jennifer Bailey and Karen Walker. A graveside service will be held in Sherwood Memorial Park. on October 5, 2002.1

He will join his father, Henry Taylor Brown; mother, Dossie Perdue Brown; and brother, Ernest Marvin Brown, in Heaven. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Marie Keith Brown; his children and their spouses, Anita and David Booth, of Roanoke, and Mark and Lorna Brown, of Charlottesville; a grandson, Russell Booth, of Elmore, Ala; and four nieces. A proud Navy veteran of World War II and member of First Baptist Church, he retired from the Veterans Hospital in Salem. He was a much beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Ray and Beatrice Keith; and a sister, Ruby Wallace. Surviving are his wife, Carole Stroupe Keith; a daughter, Kathy Keith Martin and her husband, Sonny of Roanoke; three sons, Barry Edward Wirt and his wife, Becky of Roanoke, David Roy Wirt and his wife, Kim of Chapin, S.C., Kevin Richard Wirt and his wife, Heather of Midlothian, Va; grandchildren, Lora Voyles, Angie Cummings, Jamey Martin. Barry Jr., Christopher, Lindsay, Caroline, Courtney, Christine, Sutton, Weston Allan-James, Brighton Wirt; and four great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Keith Brown and her husband, Perry; a niece and nephew, Anita Booth and Mark Brown; a brother-in-law, Richard Stroupe and other aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 1998 at the First Baptist Church of Roanoke with the Rev. Dr. Charles G. Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. Memorials may be given to Needle's Eye Ministries in care of First Baptist Church, Roanoke, Va. Arrangements by Oakey's Roanoke Chapel. on December 6, 1998.1
