Lambert of Pilot, Va., his home Saturday, Feb. 8, following a heart attack suffered the night before. Funeral services were held at the Huffville Church, last Monday. Interment was in the church cemetery. Mr. Lambert was born in Spring Township, Centre County, June 5, 1902, the son of Calvin and Anna Emel Lambert. He was first married to Waneta Teal of Galveston, Tex., who died in 1947. In 1950 he was married to I. B. Craghead who survives, with one son, David, born to his first marriage. He is also survived by a sister, Mrs. John G. Young, and a brother, Hardman Lambert, both of Bellefonte. Mr. Lambert, who was employed as a maintenance mechanic for the highway department near Roanoke, Va., was a veteran of World War II, having served from August 1942 to July 1945, when he was discharged with the rank of sergeant in the Army Air Force. on February 17, 1964.3

Betty May Craighead Betty May Craighead Pemberton born May 15, 1931, the only daughter to Thomas (Handsome) and Virginia Shanks Craighead passed away on April 3, 2019. Betty was proceeded in death by her husband John (Pete) Pemberton, her twin Brother George, and brothers Thomas and Donnie Craighead. Betty also lost her only daughter, Thelma (Lou) Showalter, her son, Billy Pemberton along with a granddaughter, a great grandchild and one great-great grandchild. Left to carry on her memory and love for life are her oldest son, Richard (Peewee) and wife Frances (Sissy) Pemberton of Lochgelly, WV, Willie and wife Rita Pemberton of Louisville, KY and John (Rick) and wife Debbie Pemberton of Oak Hill, WV. 11 Loving Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren along with all their friends and extended family that also considered her their “Granny Betty”. The family wants to thank her adopted family at Mary’s Garden for the loving care they extended to her the last couple of years. Betty always loved and enjoyed her life. She loved a good sale, a trip to anywhere, a banana split, sneaking a cigarette, a little gambling, but most of all she loved her family and all her babies (no matter how old they were)! She attended church with her granddaughter at Fellowship Memorial Baptist.
