     Ezra Newton Guilliams was buried at Guilliams/Hale Cemetery, Tharp Creek Road, Ferrum, Franklin Co., Virginia.⁴ He was born on January 10, 1934 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^8,3,4 He married Norma Jean Guilliams on June 19, 1954 at Franklin Co., Virginia.⁸ Ezra Newton Guilliams died on September 8, 2023 at Virginia at age 89.⁴ He "I've lived a long and good life" are the words that many people heard from Ezra Newton Guilliams, age 89, who took his final "road trip" to join his Lord and loved ones in his heavenly home on September 8, 2023. Newton was born January 10, 1934 to the late Roy and Altha Guilliams. He was preceded in death by his sweet four-month old son, Michael Glen Guilliams (9/10/56 – 1/9/57). His loving wife, Norma Guilliams, has taken care of him, loved him, and spoiled him for 69 years. He will continue watching over her, his children Jeff Guilliams (Donna) and Jennifer Brubaker (Keith) and his "pride and joy" grandchildren Harrison Brubaker (Casey Johnson) and Meredith Kantsios (Logan) as well as his great grandson (who should be here in January). He even loved and enjoyed his active grandpups. He had an unbelievable relationship with every one of his brothers and sisters, his in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings Pete Guilliams (Betsy), Sylvia Cooper (Lloyd), Coy Guilliams, Dan Guilliams and in-laws Don Carter/John Laprade, and Barbara Guilliams. Surviving are siblings Vera Laprade, Arlene Carter, Dot Webb (James), Steve Guilliams (Linda), Fred Guilliams, Barry Guilliams, and Ronnie Guilliams (Joyce) and sister-in-law Caroline Guilliams. He also treasured long-time friendships with Darla Lee, Ray and Nancy Holland, and Betty (Jimmy) Guilliams among many others, and he loved listening to music by Alan Messenger and friends. He was a member of Highland United Methodist Church (baptized April 8, 2018), one of the charter members of Callaway Volunteer Fire Department (established May 1966), a plumber who offered services to friends and family near and far, an employee of Hajoka for 21 years followed by Norfolk and Southern for 20 years, and a valued friend to everyone he met. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Highland United Methodist Church or Callaway Volunteer Fire Department. A special thanks goes to Carilion Hospice and everyone who has supported Newton through his years of sickness. The burial will follow in the Guilliams/Hale Cemetery on Tharp Creek Road in Ferrum. on September 12, 2023.⁴

     Coy Lee Guilliams was born on November 2, 1940 at Franklin Co., Virginia.⁴ He married Caroline Wilson Fisher on January 6, 1962 at Martinsville, Virginia.⁵ Coy Lee Guilliams died on February 23, 2020 at Virginia at age 79.³ He Coy Lee Guilliams, 79, of Callaway, died on Sunday, February 23, 2020, from complications related to lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy L. and Altha F. Guilliams; and brothers, Bernard L."Pete" and Danny Guilliams. He is survived by his wife, Caroline F. Guilliams; daughter, Kelly Guilliams Moran (Lynnie); sons, Gordon Guilliams (Carrie) and Alan Guilliams (Mandy); grandchildren, Carrie, Cassidy and Davis Moran and Connor and Brandon Guilliams. Also surviving are sisters, Sylvia Cooper, Vera LaPrade, Arlene Carter and Dot Webb (James); and brothers, Newton Guilliams (Norma Jean), Steve Guilliams (Linda), Fred Guilliams, Barry Guilliams and Ronnie Guilliams (Joyce); sister-in-law, Betty F. Guilliams; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Coy served in the United States Navy, retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad, worked part-time at Source4, was a charter member of the Callaway Volunteer Fire Department, a member of the American Legion and a member of Highland United Methodist Church. on February 24, 2020.³

     Linda Fay Ramsey Linda Ramsey Guilliams, August 23, 1946 - March 11, 2024. Linda Ramsey Guilliams, age 77 of Callaway, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mable Ramsey; father and mother-in-law, Roy and Altha Guilliams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Pete and Betsy Guilliams, Sylvia and Lloyd Cooper, Newton Guilliams, Coy Guilliams, Danny Guilliams, Barbara Guilliams, John Laprade, Don Carter and Noel Carter. She is survived by her husband, Richard Steve Guilliams; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Joyce Guilliams, Barry Guilliams, Fred Guilliams, Dot and James Webb, Caroline Guilliams, Arlene Carter, Vera Laprade, Norma Jean Guilliams and a special nephew-in-law, Alan Messenger, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Her wishes were to be cremated with no service.      Barbara Gail Wray was born on February 11, 1950 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^3,2 As of November 7, 1969,her married name was Guilliams.² She married Freddie Luke "Fred" Guilliams, son of Roy Lee Guilliams and Altha Vane Furrow, on November 7, 1969 at Rocky Mount, Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,2 Barbara Gail Wray died on June 24, 2019 at Virginia at age 69.¹ She Barbara Wray Guilliams, 69, of Callaway, died Monday, June 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Julia Wray; and brothers, Nelson and Aubrey Wray. Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Fred Guilliams; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Mark Bollings; son, Danny Guilliams and fiancé, Sara; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and George Thomas Amos, Betty W. and Walter Lewis Hodges; the apple of her eye, granddaughter, Callie; aunts, Frances Law and Helen Wray; sister-in-law, Deborah Wray; granddogs, Molly and Lucy. Barbara was a member of Highland United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, Sunday School Teacher and Choir. She retired from Source4 and enjoyed The Green Thumb Garden Club, sewing, scrapbooking, card making, and gardening. She loved serving the Lord, her family and others. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at Highland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Amy Pannell officiating. on June 26, 2019.¹

Radford was born on April 16, 1929 at Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,2,4 She died on February 2, 2006 at Callaway, Franklin Co., Virginia, at age 76.^1,4 She Evelyn Radford Furrow, 76,of Callaway, passed away at her home February 2, 2006. She is survived by her husband, Buford W. "Pat" Furrow; three daughters, Barbara and Roger Wertz of Callaway, Wanda Shively and friend, Harold Benge of Botetourt, Rose and Jimmy Hale of Fieldale; one son, Glen and Julia Richards of Beacon, N.Y; and eleven grandchildren, Roger Conner, Lisa Helms, Stacy Shively, Paul Kally, Christine Heath, Elaine Thomas, Christopher Richards, J. R. Richards, Ashley Hale, Jeanie Hale and Casey Hale; two stepdaughters, Janey and Rev. Bryon Snapp, Newport News, Dina and Elliott Richards of Roanoke; and fourteen stepgrandchildren; one sister-in-law, Evie Radford of Roanoke.      Vera Stella Cannaday was buried at Sherwood Burial Park, 1045 Lynchburg Turnpike, Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.^2,6 Her Social Security Number was 224-18-7033.⁷ She was born on September 16, 1919 at Callaway, Franklin Co., Virginia.^7,2,3,4 As of August 8, 1964,her married name was Spangler.⁵ She married George Marshall Spangler, son of Joseph David Spangler and Virgie Ardella Jones, on August 8, 1964 at Alexandria, Virginia.^1,2,5 Vera Stella Cannaday died on November 19, 1999 at Richmond, Virginia, at age 80.^7,2,8 She SPANGLER, Vera Cannaday, 80, of Hopewell, died Friday, November 19, 1999. She was the widow of George Marshal Spangler. She is survived by a son, James E. Toler, Jr. and his wife, Connie Walsh-Toler, of Fort Edward, N.Y; a daughter-in-law, Joanna F. Toler; two grandsons, James Scott Toler and Jonathan Isaac Toler; great-granddaughter, Courtney Cannaday Toler, all of Riverside, R.I; two nieces, Dolly L. Boothe and Carolyn Dickerson; two nephews, Ronald E. Spangler and Jerry R. Spangler. Mrs. Spangler was a native of Callaway, Va., a graduate of Ferrum College and National Business College in Roanoke.      Ronald Edward Spangler Ronald Spangler, Apr 21, 1948 - Dec 31, 2021. Ronald Edward Spangler, lovingly known as "Cutie Pie", went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 31, 2021. Ron was a graduate of Jefferson High School where he wrestled and played football. He also received a bachelor degree in business from Roanoke College, and a master's degree in Labor Relations from the University of Lynchburg. Ron also served in the United States Army. After receiving his master's degree, Ron worked at Coke in the 70's and 80's working his way up to Human Resource Manager. Then finding his way to Lawrence Companies where he held various positions including President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board. A loyal and dedicated father and family man. Also a competitive, hard working business man. Ron had different character traits that he exhibited for his family versus his work life. But in all circumstances, you could rely on Ron to be a quiet man that thought before he spoke. And when he spoke, it was best to listen as he had taken the time to give you a thoughtful, honest answer or advice or even critique. Ron had many interests over his life. His education did not stop with his master's. He was continuously learning his entire life. He was also an avid stock trader, loved fishing, tennis, and chess, and developed an appreciation for gardening over the course of his entire life. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Monica Blankenship Spangler; his parents Lewis and Clara Spangler; Father-in-Law James Blankenship; Mother-in-Law Virginia Blankenship. Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted family fondly referred to as "The Mafia"; his loving wife Deborah Spangler, his children Nichole Griffin, Heather (Rob) Cantu, Eric (Pam) Lockhart, and Scott (Jennifer) Lockhart, his brother Jerry (Donna) Spangler, grandchildren Lexi (Josh) Griffin, Monica Griffin, Tre (Bailey) Cantu, Reice Lockhart, Austin Lockhart, Savannah Lockhart, Skylar Callahan, Gillian Lockhart, and Ainsleigh Lockhart, great grandchildren Owen Cantu, Audrey Cantu, Dawson Kingery, and Callum Kingery, special nephew Cameron Spangler, several sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other "adopted" family members.⁵ He was born on April 21, 1948 at Roanoke, Virginia.^4,5,6 He married Monica Elyse Blankenship on June 14, 1969 at Roanoke, Virginia.^4,8,9,5 Ronald Edward Spangler married Deborah Gay Case on August 8, 1998 at Roanoke, Virginia.⁴ Ronald Edward Spangler died on December 31, 2021 at Virginia at age 73.⁵

     Elva Tennessee "Tennie" Vaughn was buried at Willis Cemetery (also known as Keith Cemetery), Rt. 221 at Rt. 764, Willis, Floyd Co., Virginia.^3,1,2 She was born on May 1, 1900 at Carroll Co., Virginia.^3,2 As of November 28, 1936,her married name was Poff.⁴ She married Harmon Emzel "Emzy" Poff, son of James Andrew "Jim" Poff and Lyrena Ann "Laura" Walton, on November 28, 1936 at Roanoke, Virginia.^3,1,2,4 Elva Tennessee "Tennie" Vaughn and Harmon Emzel "Emzy" Poff were divorced before March 22, 1941.⁵ Elva Tennessee "Tennie" Vaughn died on December 1, 1968 at Radford, Virginia, at age 68.^3,1,2 She Elva Vaughn Poff, 68, wife of the Rev. H. E. Poff of Blacksburg, died yesterday at Radford Community Hospital. Also surviving are a son, David A. Poff, Gainsville, Fla; a sister, Mrs. Inez Markward, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1 p.m. at New St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Glade Road. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. in Willis Community Cemetery, Floyd County.
