Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elma Strackbein, Hot Springs; Mrs. Eva Romey, Wenatchee, Wash; five sons, Ted and Shirley, Hot Springs; Leslie, Rapid City; Charles, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Frank, Seattle, Wash; and 22 grandchildren. Two brothers, Abe and Wayne, and two sisters, Edith McClure and Mrs. Claire Gilchrist, all of Hot Springs, also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife. on May 26, 1965.⁷

He served in the Navy during World War II with the Sea Bees from 1941-46. He was a prisoner of war. On June 9, 1946, he married Dorothy Ervin. They moved to Colorado in 1969. Mrs. McClure died Aug. 23, 2005. Mr. McClure worked as a carpenter for more than 40 years and was an antiques collector. He loved to carve figurines and western statues. Mr. McClure was a member of Mid-West Tool Collectors, EAIA, and Rocky Mountain Tool Collectors. He died June 6 at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit, Greeley. Survivors: A son, Robert McClure of Milliken; a sister, Eva Romey of Washington; three brothers, Frank McClure of Detroit, Mich., Charles J. McClure of Grand Junction and Shirley McClure of Hot Springs. Preceded in death by: His wife and two sons, Ronald Kent and Carl Warren, and his parents; two brothers, Ted and Donald; and a sister Elma Strathbein. Services: Graveside services were Friday, June 13, at Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs. on June 25, 2008.⁴
