Tommy was a 1970 graduate of Northside High School, served 8 years in the National Guard, and was a member of St. Phillip Lutheran Church. He retired after 38 years in dental sales. He had many interests and hobbies including, old cars, hunting, and fishing at the Outer Banks and Smith Mountain Lake and coaching youth sports teams. His children remember him as their greatest fan. He never missed one of their sports events, and they always knew where he was in the stands. Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Cynthia Scott Craddock; son, Travis Reed Craddock and girlfriend, Laura Robbins; daughter, Katrina Rose (James) Koiner; granddaughters, Brooke Craddock and Annaelise Koiner; sister, Jennifer (Joe) McMillan; nephew, Tyler McMillan and fiancee', Kayla Hamlin; special cousin, Robert Craddock; and his special friends from Patterson Dental, Teresa, Benny, Pete and Charlie. on June 6, 2021.2

He worked for Donnkenny Inc. for twenty years as a credit and accounts receivable manager and shipping manager, he also farmed part-time most of his life. He became a Christian in October 1943 in Church of Brethren and entered Christian Ministry in 1971 and was Ordained in the Church of Brethren and served as Pastor of Smith Chapel, West Virginia, Red Oak and Stonewall Church. He served six years on District Board in Ministry and Finance comm., served nine years on Small Membership Cong comm., visited many churches and encouraged them, touched hundreds of lives and he helped lead many to Christ and Baptized them, conducted many funerals, anointing services and weddings, also made thousands of visits in homes, hospitals and nursing homes and conducted many revivals services in three different states. Funeral Services will be held at Gardner Funeral Home on Saturday September 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Elbert Lee Naff Jr. and the Rev. Robin Naff Officiating with entombment in the Mausoleum at Roselawn in Christiansburg. on September 6, 2018.4

He is also survived by his brother and his sister-in-law, Raymond and Joan Peters, of Roanoke; his sister, Dorothy Peters Self and his brother-in-law, Robert Self, of Cary, N.C; his sister-in-law, Frances Peters, of Roanoke; and by seven nephews and three nieces. He was predeceased by his brother Lynwood and by sisters Mildred Peters and Edna Mae Holdren. Special thanks are extended to Cleve and Ethel Simmons, Fran Stover, Ray and Joan Peters, lla Peters Eubank, and the members of Rosalind Hills Baptist Church who gave much support during Bill's last days. The family wishes to recognize the dedicated medical and nursing staff at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, including doctors Linda Thomas, Andrea Rausch, and Rob Conklin, whose talent, energy and caring are greatly appreciated.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jennifer Madge Forbes, Crawford Alexander Forbes, Eleanore Amy Ayscue, Christopher Gene Ayscue, Christopher Meade Kampfmueller, Graham Lewis Kampfmueller, Zoe Elizabeth Willis and David Alvaro Galvan. He is also survived by his step-daughter, Valorie Peters MacInnis, her husband, Stewart, and their two children, Ellen Catherine and John Michael, all of Roanoke. He was formerly married to Betty Shank Blount of Roanoke. He was predeceased by his first wife, Eleanore Madge Smith Eubank. Mr. Eubank was born in Chase City, Va. Following wartime service in the Army, he worked in Richmond. He moved to Roanoke in 1948. Interment following at Evergreen Cemetery. on February 22, 1997.6

He owned and operated Gearhart's Shoe Repair, started by his grandfather in 1918, until closing the business in 1994. A 76 year old tradition in downtown Salem. Dewey was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church, Deacon and Director of the Sunday School Department and Sunday School Teacher. He was also an avid fisherman, enjoyed following UVA sports and loved cheering for his grandson on the baseball field. Barbara was born on September 30, 1938, and was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Lollas (Potter) Foster. Barbara graduated from Emanuel College and furthered her studies in early childhood education at the University of Virginia. Her life was dedicated to the education and care of children, as evidenced by her position as Charter Teacher of Special Education in Roanoke County in 1967, the underpinning of the Kangaroo Pouch Daycare in 1980, for a total of 40 years devoted to the enrichment of the lives of children. Barbara is survived by her soul mate and spouse of 49 years, Dewey; daughter, Kim and her husband, Todd Mineroldi; and only grandchild, Zach Mineroldi. Also surviving is Frieda Potter, her aunt and special friend. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family offers special thanks to Doctors Subuhi and Raza, the Case Management staff of Lewis Gale Medical Center, and the extraordinary caregivers of Unit 4 of Salem Health and Rehabilitation Center. on April 9, 2010.2

She was preceded in death by two sons, Floyd Lee and Wayne Odell Furrow. Surviving are her husband, Ernest O. Furrow of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Brenda Arnett, Steve and Nancy Furrow all of Boones Mill, Marshall and Robin Arnett of Wirtz; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Jack B. Peters Jr. of Moneta, George H. Tingler Jr. of Salem; five sisters, Louise Roache' of Cocoa Fla., Brenda Moyer of Titusville, Fla., Alice Marie Dawson, Gail Tingler, Shelby Faye Butler all of Roanoke; special sisters and brothers-in-law, Nita and Leon Spradlin of Vinton, Hazel and Ernest Nichols of Copper Hill; a host of special friends and neighbors in the community; special caregivers at Carilion Roanoke Memorial too numerous to name. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 1997 at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Jones, the Rev. J. Willard Bowman and the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Interment will follow in Monte Vista Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Tuesday where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount is in charge of arrangements. on June 24, 1997.1
