Whitlow of Kellysville, and stepson Jamie Meadows of Glen Lyn, Va; two sisters, Mrs. Clarice Boseman of High Point, N.C., and Lois Poffitt of Princeton; six brothers, James R. Whitlow and Dean Whitlow, both of Princeton, Benny Whitlow and Jay Whitlow both of Kellysville, Larry Whitlow of Peterstown, and Harry Whitlow of Wilson, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Davis Funeral Chapel in Oakvale with Rev. Larry Lykens officiating. Burial will follow in Oakvale Cemetery and nephews will serve as pallbearers. on March 24, 1984.7

Born May 4, 1928, at Kellysville, he was the son of the late Robert Lee and Alice F. Whitt Whitlow. He was educated in Mercer County and was of the Protestant faith. He had served his country proudly, was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, had received many medals and commendations, and had also received the Purple Heart medal for being wounded in combat. He was a former barber, worked on the railroad, was a disabled coal miner with Consolidation Coal Company and was a member of the UMWA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel M. Whitlow. Survivors: his loving children, Danny Ray Whitlow of Kellysville; James Edward Whitlow and Timothy Lee Whitlow, both of Princeton, and Linda Miller of Princeton; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Clarice Boseman of North Carolina; four brothers, Dean Whitlow of Ohio, Larry Whitlow of Peterstown, Benny Whitlow of Rich Creek, Va., and Jay Whitlow of Kellysville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Burns Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory on Athens Road in Princeton with Rev. James Coburn officiating. Burial will follow at Athens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews. on September 25, 2000.3
