Agnes Grindle and Lois Blackwell, both of Terre Haute, Jennie Gregory of R. R. 6, Florence Joslin of Benton Harbor, Mich., and Mary Norman of Tuscola, Ill., and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery at Farmersburg. Friends may call after 6 o'clock this evening. on March 11, 1961.6

She was born in Coal Bluff on Aug. 20, 1913, to James and Mary (Wright) Hoke. She was a homemaker, enjoyed working with crafts, collecting recipes, cooking, working word puzzles, being with family and praising her Lord. She was married to Aaron W. Grindle on March 1, 1932, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Rosetta Fagg (caregiver) and Aaron R. Grindle and wife Maxine Grindle of Terre Haute; three sisters, Mae Norman and husband Jack of Illinois, Jenny Gregory, Lois Blackwell and her husband Eugene of Terre Haute; seven grandchildren, Jeff Grindle of Fort Wayne, Gary Grindle and wife Lisa of Arizona, Kevin Grindle, Mark Grindle, Pam Hall and husband Joe, and Brenda Shepard, all of Terre Haute, and Sheila Gardner of Tennessee; nine great-grandchildren, Michael Grindle of Fort Wayne, Austin Shepard of Clinton, Chet Gardner and wife Beth, Jack Dale Gardner and wife Angie of Tennessee, Cassie and Robin Grindle of Arizona, Christina McGovern and husband Scotty, Craig Hall and wife Ashley, and Jade Grindle, all of Terre Haute; four great-great-grandchildren, Adrian Hall, Laurah and Emily Mcgovern, and Bailey Gardner. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Valley Hicks and Florence Joslyn; three brothers, Vincent, J.T. and Elwood Hoke; son-in-law, Jack Fagg; and two grandchildren, Tina Rose Fagg and Tiffany Grindle. Agnes was a former member of the Fontanet Home Ec Club and was a member of Barbour Avenue United Methodist Church.Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Roush officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the hospice Vista Care of Terre Haute. on June 12, 2009.5 She died on June 12, 2009 at Terre Haute, Vigo Co., Indiana, at age 95.5,8

He was a member of Rosedale Masonic Lodge 259 F&AM and was a 32nd-degree member of Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday in Mattox-Wood North Terre Haute Chapel. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 9 p.m. today, with Masonic services at 7. in August, 1984.3
