Otto was a tank commander in the National Guard. Otto loved baseball, where he got the nickname ‘Hot Ott', horse shoes, bowling, fishing, and was an avid pool player. He had won many contests and awards for these activities. He enjoyed gardening. He was a member of West Side and Oak Hill Church of Christ. Otto is survived by his wife of 58 years, Phyllis (Fisher) Hudnall; son, David Hudnall (Nancy); son, Jeffrey Hudnall (Anita); daughter, Ann Kay Newcomb (Gauer); grandchildren, April Gauer, Michael Gauer, Amy Holland, Amanda Donaldson, Matt Hudnall, Chad Hudnall, Jill Gelhausen, Allison Berger, Nathan Tillotson, Paul Tillotson, and Sarah McGee; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Thomas Hudnall; brother, Vernon Hudnall; sister, Georgia Persinger; sister, Juanita Gilbert; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Alexander Memorial Park Heritage Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Minister Dan Wade with entombment to follow. Friends may visit Friday from 2 to 8 pm at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Street. on July 29, 2010.1

He had been in declining health. He was born Friday, August 15, 1941 at Birchton, WV a son of the late Albert Hudnall and Ivy Myrtle Stanley. On May 10, 1969 at Silver Springs, MD, he was married to the former Carol May Vandevender, who survives. They had celebrated forty five years of marriage. Also surviving are three daughters, Karen Marie Currence and husband Jeff, Denise Lynne Campbell and husband Ric, all of Elkins, and Patricia Ann Vollmer and husband Tom of Loveland, OH; one brother, Thomas Edgar Hudnall and wife Mary of Milton, WV; two sisters, Jacqueline Desler and husband Jim of IN, and Jean H. Davis and Garland of SC; five grandsons, Josh, Lance, Garrett, Matthew and Logan. He attended East Bank High School in Kanawha County. He was a diesel mechanic for the Giant Food Company for many years and retired from the West Virginia Dept. of Highways District 8, as a master mechanic. He was an active member of the Elkins Family Worship Center. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was known as a practical joker and was a Nascar fan. The family will receive friends at the Elkins Family Worship Center on Taylor Avenue on Monday, November 17, 2014 from noon until 2 PM. At 2 PM at the church, a funeral ceremony will be conducted by the Rev. Jamie Estep and the Rev. Eli Hostetler. She was also preceded in death by her daughters and sons-in-law, Lobeda "Penney" and Ronald Foutt and Patricia and Freddie Grounds. Lobeda is survived by her son, William "Butch" Buckner of Florida; sister, Ellen (Denver) Jarrett of Paint Creek; and brother, Jimmy Canterbury of Ohio. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Amy (Jimmy) Cooper of Elkview, Ronnie Bowles II of Charleston, RL (Tammy) Foutt of Bim, Jodie (Daniel) Clifford of Prosperity and Scott (Lynne) Buckner of Florida; nine great-grandchildren, Smer, Jessica and Noah Cooper of Elkview, Courtney, Zoe and Sophie Foutt of Bim, Christian Clifford of Prosperity, Brendi Martin of Florida and Jocelyn Bail of Florida; and one great-great-grandchild of Florida. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, close friends and church family. Lobeda loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church. She attended Christ Temple Church of Winifrede. She was a faithful servant to the Lord. She was a witness to anyone she encountered and would always tell them what God has done and could do. She was a true lady and loved her family dearly. She prayed tirelessly for them and others, never once thinking of herself. The world will be a darker place without her in it. She will be deeply missed by her family, brothers and sisters in Christ and everyone who knew her. Lobeda and family would like to extend a thank you to the entire staff of Hospice, Dr. Phillips and staff, Dr. Atassi and staff, the staff of the Kmart pharmacy in Kanawha City and the women of the church; you all made life a little easier. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, at Christ Temple Church, Winifrede, with Pastor Jack Long officiating. Burial will follow in Montgomery Memorial Park, London. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Pryor Funeral Home, East Bank. The family would like to invite friends and family to a dinner at Winifrede Presbyterian Church immediately following the burial. on November 8, 2012.8
