She was surrounded by loved ones at her home of the last nine years, The Laurels of Charlottesville, after having fought a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer's. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Those who love her will remember her generous heart, engaging personality, sense of humor, strength of character and love for the Lord.She was fiercely devoted to family and loved singing. In her early 20s, Margaret enjoyed the opportunity to work professionally in the country music industry. The highlight of her career was having one of her songs recorded in Nashville. Most recently, Margaret was a retiree of Hershey Chocolate in Stuarts Draft, which she treasured and valued immensely. She will be profoundly missed by friends and family. Margaret was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband, Wilmer L. Rudd; parents, Pinkney and Virginia Johnson; biological father, Edward Luckado; brother, Don Luckado, all of Augusta County; daughter, Joyce R. Huffer; and grandson, Joey Reed. She leaves behind to cherish her memory three children, and six grandchildren. Her children are Jean F. Gondar of Waynesboro (grandson, John), William L. She and Pete especially loved their three dachshunds, "little Mama," Missy and Peewee. Irene loved flowers, working in the yard and she loved to sing. She also enjoyed collecting around the neighborhood for March of Dimes, MS and heart disease. Irene was a member of the Laureate Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and Penn Forest Wesleyan Church. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Richfield Care & Recovery Center 4th floor, Lavender and the JC Thomas Center for their love and care during her stay there. Interment will follow at Ross Cemetery in Sinking Creek. on March 2, 2020.³

She was born on December 29, 1931 in Craig County, Va. She was a daughter of the late Markie Bigler and Marguerita Gieson Sarver. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Colonel Flint; and three sisters, Judy S. Mills, Helen S. Lustig, and Bonnie S. Raffler. Mrs. Flint was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved fishing, bowling, and family outings. She is survived by two sons, James C. Flint Jr. and Mark C. Flint; seven daughters and their husbands, Rebecca and Robert Stanley, Margaret and Butch Andrews, Anna and Mike McLaughin, Virginia Carol Emerson Strickler, Linda and Garner Jarrell of Mt. Airy, Md., Robert Sarver of Lincoln, Calif., Conrad Sarver of Ringgold, Ga., and Ida S. Lofstrom of San Diego, Calif. She is also survived by her fiance of 30 years, Willard Sexton; fourteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, January 23, 2006 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A funeral service will immediately follow the period of visitation and begin at 12 p.m. Pastor Myron Powell will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery. on January 22, 2006.¹

He loved God, his family and his friends, especially those special people he had met in Englewood who shared his belief and teachings of the AA program, they had become a second family to him. Tommy will be greatly missed by ALL who shared their life with him. Tommy is survived by his wife and best friend of 40 years, Kathleen Keesling Malone; and their son, John T. Malone. He is also survived by his daughter by a prior marriage, Mary Katherine Malone Brown; grandson, Ryan Brown; beloved brother, Michael and his wife, Michelle; sister, Martha Woody and husband, Doug; brother-in-law, John Keesling; sister-in-law, Donna Keesling Smith and husband, Roger; three nephews; and six nieces.
