A lifelong resident of Norfolk, Mrs. Gearheart was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Gearheart was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon J. Gearheart, 20 years to the day. She was the daughter of the late Rocco and Antionette Rossano. Survivors include three daughters, Jackie Hutcheson and her husband, Ray, of Virginia Beach, Diane Yungk and her husband, Don, Joyce Barnes and her husband, Walter, all of Chesapeake; a son, Gordon "Jim" Gearheart of Norfolk; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. on October 18, 1997.¹

     Ray Marshall Hutcheson was buried at Saint Marys Catholic Cemetery, 3000 Church Street, Norfolk, Virginia.^4,3 He was born on July 23, 1933 at Snow Hill, Worcester Co., Maryland.^2,4,5 He married Jacqueline Ann "Jackie" Gearheart, daughter of Gordon James "Jack" Gearheart Sr. and Marie Cecelia Rossano, on September 22, 1965 at Norfolk, Virginia.^1,2,3,4,6 Ray Marshall Hutcheson died on May 17, 2017 at Virginia Beach, Virginia, at age 83.^3,4 He Virginia Beach - Ray Marshall Hutcheson, 83, passed away at his home with his family by his side on May 17th, 2017. Ray was born in Pocomoke City, MD. Ray retired as a Stevedore with ILA Local 970; in his spare time, he loved fishing, shooting pool, cooking seafood for his family and going to the local YMCA. He was predeceased by his eldest daughter, Janet Hutcheson. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 51 years, Jackie Gearheart Hutcheson; children, Donna Rae Parker and her husband Heath, David Hutcheson and his wife Amy, Jerry Hutcheson and Kenneth Hutcheson and his wife Teresa; grandchildren, Sam, James, Wade, Kyle, Matt, Christopher, Courtney, Nick and Caitlin; and a great-granddaughter, Evida. He also leaves behind numerous friends and extended family. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. on May 19, 2017.³
